BTS appearance on 'Friends: The Reunion' lasts 'for seconds', angry ARMY says it 'feels like a filler'
It was a steady rush of memories when HBO Max aired 'Friends: The Reunion' on May 27, Thursday. Social media users were sent into a tizzy when they saw one of the most storied casts of all time waltz onto a stage with unmatched charm. As James Corden and his live audience cheered them on, the actors lowered themselves into the famed Central Perk couch. Moments later, they were answering questions thrown at them by the host and his guests.
Director Ben Winston made the Q & A session interesting by adding pre-recorded clips from artists around the world, BTS being one of them. The K-Pop Band was introduced into the special as 'Biggest Boy Band on the Planet' but that was not the only high point of their clip.

Band member RM aka Kim Nam-Joon said how the 1990s hit sitcom helped him learn English. "Ross, Chandler, Monica — they were my English teachers actually from the States," RM told ET this week and added: "I'm so excited about this (TV special)... I feel like I became friends with the Friends."
Among the string of guest appearances, BTS was the most anticipated. The ARMY (BTS fans) was left disappointed when their appearance lasted only for a few seconds.
However, Winston had previously requested the fans to "manage their expectations" about BTS on the 'Friends' special episode. "I want to manage your expectations on this — it's a really short moment from BTS," he had tweeted.
I want to manage your expectations on this - it’s a really short moment from BTS. They are great of course, but they are one of the interviews, talking briefly about why they like friends.

Meanwhile, fans were left crushed with the band's blink-and-miss role in the epic episode. What some of the fans also pointed out that the clip was shot in 2020, which riled some of them even further.
"YALL, dont waste 40 mins of ur time watching the Friends Reunion if you ONLY CARE to see BTS !!!! they appear only for 10 seconds, u can find the clip on twitter! #bts #FriendsReunion," one wrote while another shared: "Sky News on Lady Gaga’s cameo in the #FriendsReunion: “But the other celebrity guests? They're fun, but not all of them work. Watch out for Lady Gaga's segment, by far the best of the cameos, but some of the other appearances like BTS feel like filler."
