Bruce McArthur, an alleged serial killer, has finally pleaded guilty to eight counts of first-degree murder and admitted to killings which started back in 2010 and continued till late 2017.
The plea had been entered in the Superior Court before Justice McMahon on Tuesday morning and brought closure to an extremely disturbing and tragic case. The 67-year-old McArthur was a self-employed landscaper and was well known in Toronto’s Church and Wellesley area's Gay Village, and was arrested in January 2018. The police had charged him with first-degree murder in the deaths of two men but had further alleged that Bruce had killed many others.
