'Brother/Godfather': Naomi Campbell reveals Lenny Kravitz's special status in her family in birthday post
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Naomi Campbell recently hinted quite strongly that Lenny Kravitz is her daughter’s godfather. Her moving tribute in a special post on his birthday referred to him as "brother/godfather". The 53-year-old supermodel took to her Instagram on Saturday, May 27, to share a couple of photos with the ‘Fly Away’ singer, 59, including one with her two-year-old daughter.
"Happy birthday my darling @lennykravitz We love you brother/godfather, you are the ultimate rockstar. Blessings on your special day," Campbell captioned the birthday post. She and Lenny have been close friends for years and were believed to have dated very briefly in 2016, before they appeared on Fox’s musical drama, ‘Star’, according to People. Following the on-screen appearance, the pair were spotted getting cozy during multiple public outings but neither of them ever confirmed the rumours.
In 2020, the ‘Believe in Me’ singer also paid tribute to Campbell on her 50th birthday. "What a ride it has been and the best is on the horizon. You have been a true friend and a sister. Continued blessings," he posted while sharing a stunning black and white picture of the duo.
Naomi Campbell has been silent about daughter's biological father
However, while Campbell hinted that Kravitz is her daughter’s godfather, she has remained silent about the identity of the little girl’s biological father. In May 2021, the supermodel startled her fans when she announced the birth of her daughter, only weeks after strutting down the runway at New York Fashion Week without an obvious baby belly.
Happy Birthday, @NaomiCampbell! What a ride it has been and the best is on the horizon. You have been a true friend and a sister. Continued blessings

Campbell didn’t reveal her daughter’s name but insisted that she was not adopted amid growing speculation regarding their biological parentage. "She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child," she confirmed to Vogue while posing with her daughter for a cover shoot in February. The model remained coy in the interview and declined to elucidate about her first child despite confirming that she is not adopted. However, she did claim that only a few of her vast circle of friends and family members were aware of her plans to become a parent.
‘It’s the best thing I’ve ever done’
"I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done," she explained according to Daily Mail. Naomi has traveled a lot in recent months, but she claims her daughter does not mind tagging along. "I'm lucky my little one loves to travel like me – no whimpering taking off or landing. She's a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries," she said, adding "I always knew that one day I would be a mother, but it's the biggest joy I could ever imagine. I'm lucky to have her and I know that."
