It is time for another Nine-Nine episode and by the looks of it, this week's recurring character comeback is by none other than daddy Peralta. Jake's (Andy Samberg) father Roger Peralta (Bradley Whitford) makes an appearance in the episode titled 'Admiral Peralta' and while we don't know if he is the titular 'Admiral', but we do know "Jake and his father deal with unsettled family business," thanks to the official synopsis by NBC. And that can never go right, can it?

Jake's daddy issues have been a running gag on the show since its beginning. We know his father had abandoned his mother and him at a really young age and gone on to have quite the philandering life, fathering at least one other child across the planet. So far, every time he has shown up in Jake's life, it has been to cause absolute chaos — from drug transfer to rekindling his tumultuous romance with Jake's mom and even fathering a rogue daughter who comes to visit Jake only to take his life for a toss.

So given Roger's trajectory, this 'unsettled family business' can be expected to remain the way they are because Roger builds less and messes things up more. Let's just hope he is not as actively contributing to make Jake's life an absolute hell before making it up to his son, now that Jake is going to be a father himself.

Luckily for Jake, his pregnant wife and Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) helps a lot in keeping him grounded, so she will be there to make sure Jake is a brilliant father, even on the off chance that he ends up making a few mistakes along the way.

(Terry Crews as Terry Jeffords, Andre Braugher as Ray Holt (NBC)

Speaking of Amy, the synopsis also teases that she and Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) will team up to work on a rather high profile case which means more kickass moments of the Latina cop duo to look forward to. In other places, Sargeant Terrence Jeffords (Terry Crews) will be seen showing some active interest in joining the NYPD band —photos show his attempts to be a flutist. The photos also show Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) with Terry playing the flute so there's a high chance Terry will look at the precinct's father figure Captain Dad once again for some sharp mentoring. And if the previous episode is any sign, we all know how great that will end up.

'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 7 airs on Thursdays at 8.30 PM only on NBC.
