Missing Massachusetts mom Ana Walshe experienced ‘a major meltdown’, claim former tenants
COHASSET, MASSACHUSETTS: Former tenants of missing Massachusetts mother Ana Walshe and her con artist husband claim they witnessed the cool-headed professional woman experience a major "meltdown" just before she vanished, a new report has revealed. On January 1, 2023, Ana, 39, was last seen at the family's Cohasset residence. The couple as per a family friend spent New Year's Eve together.
However, after providing false information to the investigators about his own whereabouts following Ana's disappearance, Brian Walshe was detained. He was charged with misleading the investigation of her disappearance on January 8. On Monday, he entered a not-guilty plea and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

Mike Silva described to The New York Post how she and her husband confronted the couple about their intentions to sell the apartment they had rented from them for nearly four years. Describing the time when they discovered she was having trouble, he said, “It was like a whole other Ana.” A contractor who worked on Ana and Brian's six properties for eight years, Mandis Silva said, "You know Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, or the Queen? They present and carry themselves very professionally, that was Ana,” Mandi said of the realtor executive mom of three. “But when we put our foot down and said, ‘No, you cannot do this to us’ and we were fighting back, it was like watching Britney Spears have a meltdown when Justin Timberlake broke up with her. It was not normal,” she added.
The report said, Mike texted both Brian and Ana on New Year's Eve but didn't receive a response until the following day. Brian responded to Mike on January 2. But Mike never received a reply from Ana. “He texted me back, ‘I’m sorry for the delay. I lost my phone and my son just found it,’” he remembered. “I’m shocked he didn’t say, ‘Sorry for the delay. My wife is missing. Have you heard from her?’ or anything like that," NBC Boston reported.
Mike said, looking back, it was evident that Ana, a native of Serbia with a high-powered position at the luxury real estate firm Tishman Speyer in Washington, DC, "wore the pants in the family,". Brian Walshe presented himself as an investor but had few significant professional connections, in contrast to his wife's business acumen. Mike noted that he was unaware that Brian was actually under house arrest after pleading guilty to federal fraud charges in 2021. He would have a robe on in his house the whole time we worked there, Mike said.
Ana, he remembered, was also “a little flirtatious” and frequently put her husband down with comments like “‘Brian is like a girl, when he scrapes himself, he cries like a little girl.’” The Silvas' memories of the Walshes appear as the search for Ana becomes more and more desperate. A hatchet, a hacksaw, and a rug were among the gruesome items discovered by investigators earlier this week at a trash transfer station an hour away from the family's residence.
