5 characters we don't want to see in 'Britannia' Season 3: From Harka and Amena to Willa, here's who we vote for

When 'Britannia' arrived on television for the first time, it immediately enchanted us. With its unique storyline fusing fiction and facts of the Romans' invasion of Britannia, the Sky production wowed viewers with a captivating tale of colonization and resistance. Through intriguing, strong characters worthy of rooting for, we also see a land that fell victim to the Romans' divide and rule strategy. After a thoroughly impressive Season 1, Season 2 has been slow to pick up but that explains why it could be a filler season building up to Season 3, which is already sanctioned at Epix.

And so, here's a list of the five characters we don't want to return in the next season. We're still bitter about Kerra's killing at the hands of the Romans last season, which meant Kelly Reilly would never return to the show. If the Gods could take one of the characters below and give Britannia Kerra back, that would be great, thank you very much.

Mackenzie Crook as Harka

This hardly means we are rooting for his twin brother Veran, who is a great deal terrifying himself. But the resurrection of The Dead Man doesn't seem right and only threatens to bring more disaster to Britannia.

So far, we haven't exactly been able to gauge Veran - all of this is a game for him. But with Harka around, it is quite literally a game between the two. And if we were to make our vote, we'd get rid of Harka. Several times over, it has been said that Harka is working with Lokka to bring doom to Britannia. So let's avoid that.

Annabel Scholey as Amena

We've had just about enough of this madwoman. Her ambition and greed know no bound even as she brings the Roman threat to her own home. Season 1 saw her as a deranged rather infuriating woman with her constant big talk about Phelan's (Julian Rhind-Tutt) "manhood" and the ultimate betrayal. She thinks she's made peace with the Romans and entered their home as equals. But we cannot wait for Aulus (David Morrissey) to stab her in the back and end her saga once and for all.

Zoë Wanamaker as Queen Antedia

The last we saw of Antedia, she was her boxed in a cage being sold off at a village auction - to the highest bidder who'd pay to piss in her face. The once-powerful queen of the Regni literally dug her own grave when she joined hands with the Romans in the previous season. She sold off the people of her own land to the Romans and the locals aren't all that happy with that. Obviously, you know by the auction.

We'd rather not have her return in Season 3 if it is not for a redeemable arc.

Jodie McNee as Willa

Willa has betrayed Veran one too many times. In the previous episode, she betrayed all hope that Britannia could invest in Cait (Eleanor Worthington Cox) by telling Aulus about her whereabouts. And that's why we don't care enough to see her again.

Steve Pemberton as Emperor Claudius

Emperor Claudius' appearance early this season was at best a shame. Aulus practically ridiculed out of his outpost in Britannia. Ever since then Claudius, who had arrived here to take the General back to his homeland Rome, himself decided to stay away.

It would be no surprise if Aulus goes rogue and takes a new course of invasion without informing the emperor. Perhaps this way, we won't have to see Claudius again.

'Britannia' airs on Epix on Sundays at 9/ 8c.
