Bring Me The Horizon's new 76-minute album featuring pop star Halsey may have longest title ever
British rockers Bring Me The Horizon aka BMTH have just dropped a new album featuring a collaboration with pop star Halsey and it's a rather long one. Not just in terms of the record's runtime itself — it clocks in at an impressive 76 minutes.
But the new album's title is rather expansive, to say the least! BMTH's latest record is called ‘Music to listen to~dance to~blaze to~pray to~feed to~sleep to~talk to~grind to~trip to~breathe to~help to~hurt to~scroll to~roll to~love to~hate to~learn Too~plot to~play to~be to~feel to~breed to~sweat to~dream to~hide to~live to~die to~GO TO'. Was the band attempting to break a new record with this new record? (Sorry, we couldn't resist!)
The 8-track EP also features some much-awaited collaborations with some popular artistes. As previously teased way back in July, the band has teamed up with the Grammy-nominated pop star Halsey for a song called ‘¿’. The five-minute track takes vocal melody ideas from the band’s 'In The Dark’ track, off their 'Amo' album — it was their first No. 1 album in the UK. The new album also features some interesting songs that feature guest spots from Yonaka, Happyalone, Toriel and a mammoth track that's called ‘Underground Big {HEADFULOFHYENA}’ featuring Bexey and Lotus Eater, which goes for a staggering 24 minutes!
Oliver Sykes, the band's frontman, had previous told NME in an interview that the band had been discussing “shorter records” instead of completing another full-length album. He stated, “I don’t want to say we’re going to do something and not live up to it, but the plan is to release multiple records next year.” We're not sure if he meant it ironically, but it sounds like the band has crammed these "shorter records" into one ginormous album. We're pretty sure their fans are ecstatic with the news though! This looks like their most groundbreaking, experimental material yet.
The vocalist Sykes had previously posted the album's rather alien-looking artwork on his Instagram account, so fans had already been speculating that a new offering from Bring Me The Horizon was about to drop from the skies.
