LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Bridgerton', which is based on Julia Quinn's best-selling novels, is an American historical romance series created by Chris Van Dusen for Netflix.

The first two seasons of 'Bridgerton' received massive praise from audiences for their captivating storytelling, lavish production values, and talented cast.

'Bridgerton' Season 3 is set to premiere in two parts, with the first part scheduled to debut on Thursday, May 16, 2024, followed by the second part on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

As the viewers anticipate the premiere of Season 3, let's take a look at the five most annoying characters from 'Bridgerton'.

Portia Featherington

Portia Featherington (Polly Walker) is a character in 'Bridgerton' who is often perceived as intrusive and overbearing. Her relentless efforts to control the lives and marriages of her daughters, particularly Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), Prudence (Bessie Carter), and Philippa (Harriet Cains), have made her an annoying character.

She doesn't make an effort to understand her daughters' wishes and needs. Instead of taking the time to listen to them and consider their feelings, she tends to impose her own desires on them.

She often forces Penelope to wear yellow dresses. Portia's preoccupation with status and societal expectations often comes at the expense of her daughters' happiness and autonomy.

Her harsh attitude and action towards Marina Thompson (Ruby Barker) in Season 1 was bad. It seems Portia can manipulate anyone and use others for her own goals.

Lord Featherington

Ben Miller

Throughout the series, Lord Featherington (Ben Miller) seemed completely clueless about what was going on. He made several questionable parenting decisions in 'Bridgerton,' showing little to no involvement in helping Portia raise their daughters.

His reckless behavior, such as gambling away the family's finances, showcased his irresponsibility and lack of concern for the well-being of his family.

Additionally, in Season 2, Lord Featherington came across as cold and distant person. He often chose to remain aloof, adding to the challenges faced by the Featheringtons.

Nigel Berbrooke

Nigel Berbrooke (Jamie Beamish) is portrayed as a character with several negative traits, including being obsessive, proud, arrogant, and impatient.

His behavior towards Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) in 'Bridgerton' has made him one of the most hated characters in the series.

His obsession with Daphne is evident in his persistent pursuit of her, despite her lack of interest. His pride and arrogance lead him to believe that he has a right to her affections, disregarding her feelings. His relentless pursuit and actions often seems frustrating.

If Nigel had married Daphne, it's likely he would have made a horrible husband. His obsessive and entitled behavior towards her suggests that he would have been controlling and dismissive of her wants and needs.

Anthony Bridgerton

Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest sibling in the Bridgerton family, is really annoying at times.

Anthony's tendency to meddle in the affairs of his siblings, offering unsolicited advice and trying to dictate their choices, can come across as annoying and intrusive.

In the first season of 'Bridgerton,' Anthony's behavior towards his sister, Daphne, was really bad. Anthony became fixated on securing a suitable match for Daphne, but his methods were controlling and misguided.

He tried to force her into a marriage with Berbrooke, an old and rude man, without considering Daphne's feelings or desires.

Cressida Cowper

Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen) is depicted as a character who is willing to go to great lengths to achieve her goals, even if it means sabotaging others. In season 1, Cressida sets her sights on undermining Daphne because of jealousy.

In season 2, Cressida targets Prudence because of jealousy, a desire for power, and a need to maintain her own social standing. Her actions against these two ladies are frustrating to watch.

Her manipulative personality and bullying tactics make her one of the most annoying characters in the series. Throughout the series, Cressida consistently displays a ruthless nature, using manipulation and deceit to get what she wants.

Her bullying behavior is evident in her interactions with Daphne and Prudence. Her treatment of Daphne and Prudence in 'Bridgerton' is indeed difficult to watch.
