Brian Laundrie search: Cops find fresh remains of campsite at Carlton Reserve
After the tragic ending of Gabby Petito’s search operation, law enforcement is doing everything to find her missing boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, so that they can get answers to several puzzling questions. As per reports, the latest update on the search efforts is that the remnants of a recently used campsite at Carlton Reserve have been found as authorities look for Brian.
The 23-year-old has apparently been missing since September 14, though his parents informed authorities about it on September 17 — two days before Gabby’s remains were discovered inside a national park in Wyoming. The young woman’s official identification was done on September 21 as the Denver office of the FBI said in a statement: “Teton County Coroner Dr Brent Blue confirmed the remains are those of Gabrielle Venora Petito, date of birth March 19, 1999. Coroner Blue’s initial determination for the manner of death is homicide. The cause of death remains pending final autopsy results.”

Chris Cuomo's ‘Cuomo Prime Time’ shared on Twitter, “Breaking news: Law enforcement says it found remnants of recently used campsite at Carlton Preserve in the search for Brian Laundrie.” In the clip, the 51-year-old journalist can be heard saying, “A source close to the Laundrie family has told me that law enforcement says they found fresh traces of a campsite in the reserve as we know authorities currently searching for Brian in the Carlton Reserve and the attorney for the Laundrie family says the parents believe that’s exactly where he is located. They don’t believe he is in another area. They believe he’s in the preserve.”

The news did not provide any confirmation from the authorities that the campsite belonged to the North Port native. Brian and Gabby embarked on a cross-country trip in a converted van in July before the former returned home alone on September 1. Ten days later, the young woman’s family reported her missing after they were unable to know her whereabouts. But the family’s worst fear came true on September 19 when Gabby’s body was found near Spread Creek in the Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming.
An arrest warrant has been issued in Brian's name that states that he used a debit card believed to be of Gabby “on or about August 30, 2021, through and including on or about September 1, 2021” in Wyoming and elsewhere and “obtained things of value aggregating to $1,000 or more.”
Meanwhile, the latest development has attracted a lot of attention from people online as a user tweeted, “it could be old remnants way before it was closed off. i highly doubt it's recent like they are claiming.” The second one wrote, “Really? that is breaking news? Breaking news is when we know it is him or that was definitely his things, lets stop with the ‘breaking news’ nonsense.” The third one asked, “That’s what I don’t get. Why not fly a drone with heat cameras on it. At night when the temps drop a human body should stick out.” “I don't know why I am. I felt similarly about flight 370,” a user added.

Besides, another video on Twitter has attracted over 80K views as it claimed Brian was seen in his backyard on September 17, the day his parents reported him missing. The clip has been shared by a person, who goes by username @R_I_C_H_E_S, and wrote, “I interviewed this Neighbor last week who lives behind Brian Laundrie on Ulster Ave that told me witnesses seen Brian run out his backyard Sept. 17th the day his parents reported him missing, then run down the street. Claimed another Neighbor got it on Surveillance. #GabbyPetito.” The video showed a man and a woman talking to a person behind the camera, believed to be @R_I_C_H_E_S, and telling him that it is believed Brian was seen running down the street near his home while his family informed authorities that they had not seen him since September 14.
