How old is Brian Laundrie? Gabby Petito's fiance is 37 not 23, claim reports

'Mamas don't let your 22 yo daughter go on cross-country trip in a van with a 37 yo,' a Twitter user warned

Gabby Petito's body was found in Wyoming shortly after her fiance Brian Laundrie was reported missing as well. The 22-year-old travel vlogger mysteriously disappeared in August 2021 while on a four-month-long cross-country trip with Brian. However, as Gabby's parents lost all contact with her, Brian quietly returned alone to his parents' home in Florida. The family has been non-cooperative with the police since the investigation started. They later reported that Brian had also been missing since September 14. 

As the FBI carries on with the investigation, social media users appear to be heavily invested in the case. Hundreds of netizens are flooding Twitter with conspiracy theories and unfounded speculations. One such claim in the Gabby Petito case emerged recently in several reports, that Brian is actually 37-years-old and not 23 as shared before. "Check Wikipedia Brian Laundrie is not 23, born July 3rd 1984 he is 37. What else his he hiding?" a user wrote.

Several popular biography websites like Wiki Biography, Areal News, Latest Celeb Articles etc, have mentioned his age as 37 years. His death of birth has been listed as July 3, 1984, and his Zodiac sign as Cancer.  

"How old is the Brian Laundrie guy? Google results spilt between 23 and 37; if he's 37... Mamas don't let your 22 yo daughter go on cross-country trip in a van with a 37 yo, please. Also guy literally went into the woods soon as someone ID'd him at a location near the body...," one user tweeted. "@UrFavChristina check Wikipedia for Brian Laundrie he is not 23. He was born July 3rd 1984, which makes him 37," another user said. A third user said, "I don't believe he is 23. I think he is the 37 year old born in Florida on 03 July 1984."

There is, however, little truth behind the claim of his age being 37 in reality. The official police reports have noted Brian's age as 23 years, which seems more plausible, given the fact that both of them attended the same school and have been high school sweethearts. 

Earlier, Moab police in Utah reported an incident of domestic violence between Petito and Brian, just days before she went missing. The bodycam footage of the officers' interaction with the couple showed an 'emotional' Petito sobbing as she described the incident. Chief Bret Edge summarized the altercation and reported, "The male tried to create distance by telling Gabbie to take a walk to calm down. She didn't want to be separated from the male and began slapping him. He grabbed her face and pushed her back as she pressed upon him and the van."

Meanwhile, FBI has searched Brian's parents' home in North Port, while a few social media users have reported spotting someone like Brian on a deer camera in Baker, Florida.
