'The Masked Singer' Season 3: Bret Michaels emerges from the Banana mask and viewers weren't surprised
Even though the previous episode featured a recap of all the fan-favorite performances from the remaining contestants in a sing-along style leaving audiences angered, the recent episode of 'The Masked Singer' gave the audiences what they wanted. The show returned with a faceoff episode tonight (April 22) and at the end of the episode, one performer was about to "take it off" and reveal their identity.
The lowest voted performers of the evening were Kitty and Banana, both amazing singers and performers, commended by all judges over the episodes and fans online as well. It was shocking but their opponent Frog and Rhino did come through with the performances and managed to entertain the studio audiences more than Kitty and Banana could.
After the final showdown between the latter two, the studio audiences voted once again and with Banana failing to accumulate more votes than Kitty, it was time for him to lift the mask from his visage before leaving the show. The result came as a shocking disappointment to all the judges as they really liked Banana. Jenny McCarthy asked him to give himself a pat on his back for he's been nothing short of "amazing" on the show. For her final guess, she went with Bret Michaels. Ken Jeong being Ken Jeong placed his bets on Brad Paisley.
Sharon Osbourne was 100 percent sure that it was Bret Michaels under the mask as she's known the rocker for 35 years and she noticed him doing a "smacking" dance move and that is something Michaels always does and his she also vouched to know his voice really well and was just convinced it was him under the mask. Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke too were inclined towards Michaels as their guess and turns out they were right.
Michaels with his signature red bandana and kohl-lined eyes was under the mask, finally confirming the fan theory that was doing the rounds on Twitter since the beginning of the season.
"I knew the banana on @TheMaskedSing was my man #BrettMichaels #TheMaskedSinger " wrote a fan.
"I was not shocked to see @bretmichaels under the #BananaMask. My husband & I have known for a while. The shocked look on @MrsSOsbourne face when she heard his voice. She knew IMMEDIATELY too! #TheMaskedSinger," said another.
"I just CAN so believe Brett Michael's was the banana #TheMaskedSinger. How could anyone not recognize his sexy voice. But #DAMN could he get any hotter???" wrote another.
'The Masked Singer' airs on Wednesday nights on Fox.
