On Thursday, August 13, #BrendonUrieSpeakUp was trending on Twitter. Thousands were tweeting under the hashtag, urging the 33-year-old singer-songwriter, and the lead vocalist of Panic! at the Disco to address sexual misconduct allegations not just against the band’s security guard Zack Hall, but also against Urie himself.

Last month, many rallied on Twitter, urging the band to fire Hall. One fan shared a personal account of her experience: "Remember when Zack Hall commented on my t*ts and called me 'boob girl' at a Panic! At The Disco concert? Not knowing if I was of age or not. Because I do."

Bassist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist Dallon Weekes' wife Breezy Weekes replied to the post with, "I'm so sorry this happened to you, I can relate. I had to put up with sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior from him for almost a decade. I had no choice but to tolerate it and keep my mouth shut so that Dallon could keep his job."

The original conversation has since been deleted but it was shared by a Twitter account, saying, "Y’all really need to stop trying to cancel Brendon. Zack Hall needs to be fired now, he is a disgusting creep who needs to be fired off the Panic! Team. He has harassed several fans. This needs to stop."

But the band’s continued silence on the issue has not gone unnoticed by fans. “Can Brendon please just come online to address everything, there's no way he doesn't know what's going on. Now this isn't me hating on him or anything like that but he needs to get his a** online and talk directly to his fans. They're tired of waiting for #BrendonUrieSpeakUp,” wrote a fan on Twitter.

There have also been allegations from an anonymous Twitter account that has since deleted the tweets about inappropriate touching. However, some Twitter users shared screenshots of the same. The account mentioned an incident from the Coca Cola Zero music festival in South Africa in 2009. The account claimed that they were a minor when Urie made them uncomfortable and touched their thigh. A Twitter user shared them, saying, "#BrendonUrieSpeakUp here’s the accusations so people can find it."

Many tweeting under the hashtag were disappointed fans. One wrote, “I f***ing worshiped you, I spent hours just listening to your music and screaming the lyrics because it was my only escape, I met amazing people, I spent money on you, your music was my introduction to alt fashion, how could you f***ing ruin that? F*** you #BrendonUrieSpeakUp.”

But not everyone seemed to believe the allegations. A fan wrote on Twitter, “I’m sorry but some of these Brendon stories are blatant and clear fabrications... and that’s f***ing terrifying because he actually has done things he needs to own up to, but throwing gas on this fire with completely fabricated stories is f***ing dangerous. #BrendonUrieSpeakUp.”

More than anything, it seemed that fans just wanted the singer to clear things out for them. “Literally I want to cry. @brendonurie please for the love of music, and for the love of all of your fans, please f***ing speak up, please I'm f***ing beg for you to do this, don’t let us down :( #BrendonUrieSpeakUp,” wrote a fan.
