Michael Jackson's niece who dated accuser Wade Robson calls him 'an opportunist' and says 'he needs to stop lying'

Brandi Jackson also shared that Robson knows how to place himself in situations which would benefit him financially

Late pop legend Michael Jackson has been at the center of all controversies post the release of HBO's documentary 'Leaving Neverland' where he has been accused of sexually molesting and abusing James Safechuck and Wade Robson when they were children.

However, Michael Jackson's niece Brandi Jackson who dated one of MJ's accusers Wade Robson for over seven years has a different side of the story to offer and claims that Robson has strayed far from the truth. In a mini-documentary titled 'Neverland Firsthand: Investigating the Michael Jackson Documentary', Brandi claims that Robson bent the truth in his favor and is attempting to benefit financially from all the uproar and outrage that 'Leaving Neverland' has caused. 

Brandi recalls meeting Robson in the year 1991 when they were around 10 years old during a photoshoot which also featured her uncle Michael Jackson and how Robson had developed a small crush on her. Robson reportedly asked Michael himself if he could spend some time with Brandi and get to know each other better and asked MJ to arrange the situation. MJ obliged and arranged for both the kids to meet at the Neverland Ranch.

Wade was present along with his mother and sister while Brandi was there with her brother and was there for a week, after which Robson "sweetly" asked Brandi to be his girlfriend, to which she said yes. Their puppy love lasted for the next seven years, and in time, developed into a proper relationship. The two would often spend time at each other's houses but by the time Robson was 17, Brandi started to notice a change in his behavior and a difference in their friendship and heard he had started to cheat on her.

"When you are with someone so long and you're so close to them, you understand that something is changing and that there is a difference in behavior. As I would confront him about these things, he would say 'no these aren't true and I'm working on a project', constantly lying," Brandi shared.

Rumors that he had begun to have affairs with multiple women started to circle the young couple and even though Brandi did not believe them at first, a common friend confirmed the rumors about Robson's infidelity. Robson had also reportedly gotten close to pop singer and American diva Britney Spears while co-directing her 1999-2001 tours and also choreographing her music video 'Slave 4 U' and 'Drive Me Crazy'. It was also alleged that he was the reason that Spears and Justin Timberlake broke up after a love note from Robson was found in Spears' room.

According to Brandi, Robson was an opportunist and only spoke to women who would be able to help him advance his career, which Brandi claims he is doing now. She also claimed that he gets this trait from his mother and knows how to place himself in situations which would benefit him financially.

Another note confirmed to be written by Robson was found which read, "My story of abuse and its effects will make me relatable/relevant" and the last sentence of the note read, "It's time for me to get mine." When he (Robson) was questioned about the note's content, he said he did not remember. Brandi believes that what Robson meant by "It's time for me to get mine," is exactly what he is doing now. "Once he had nothing else to climb for, this was his next outlet," Brandi added. 

Brandi also speaks of how Robson had initially met MJ in Australia but had lost touch with him until his mother decided to pursue and reach out to MJ and made them meet again. Brandi added how she believes that she was not mentioned in 'Leaving Neverland' as it discredits Robson's claims. "It would discount or discredit the things he is trying to claim and I find it fascinating that he thinks he is able to erase 10 years of his life," Brandi revealed. If given the chance to confront Robson, Brandi says she would tell him to "stop lying" and that regardless of his reasons, "he needs to stop."
