Films are often all about dramatization and making it look larger than life but it is a film like this where an improbable event is presented in a way that is closer to reality makes a film like this appeal to its audience.

The makers of 'Branching Out' made a conscious decision to make this film relatable. From the camera placements to the locations and art direction to the costume choices, everything about this film has an element of regular life in it.

'Branching Out' is an extraordinary story of normal people and that makes it so special.

Sarah Drew's performance holds the film together

Sarah Drew is the backbone of this film and she excels in a multi-faceted role. She plays the perfect mother and her chemistry with her daughter is the highlight of the film. Her character's world revolves around Ruby but as the film progresses, she grows as a character and allows herself to put the ghosts of her past to bed and allows herself to fall in love with T.J.

Juan Pablo Di Pace is a charming musician as T.J. and his moments with Ruby, his daughter in the film are the best part of this film. He grows into the role and lets himself be open to family life.

Cora Bella is an absolute revelation as Ruby in the film. She is innocence personified and every time she comes on the screen, she makes the film more watchable.
