Brad Pitt confesses he had his 'first kiss' in fourth grade: 'I was pretty excited and ran home afterward'
The first kiss is always a special moment in everyone's lives. Brad Pitt opened up about his first kiss in an interview with W Magazine for its Best Performances issue and confessed he experienced it when he was a very “excited” fourth grader.
“Her name was Lisa. It was in her garage,” the 56-year-old actor revealed. “She was one street over, and I ran home afterward. I was pretty excited — the anticipation was a bit nerve-wracking. A few kids were already in on it.”
He also reminisced about going to the prom in school and dancing in a “white tuxedo.” He fondly recalled, “I went to two proms!” and said how he didn't like to dance for a large period of time after school.
“I had a 20-year hiatus where I didn’t dance at all, and now I kind of see dance as my future,” he said. “I know I’ll be throwing arms out of joint and dislocating things, but yeah, I feel like I’ve got the green light in my soul to explore dance. I don’t know what that means yet, but I’m feeling moved by the spirit.”
Not just dance, he spoke about his singing skills too. “I sing very badly. Animals flee. I can start stampedes. As a kid, I had the rock star fantasy, but I couldn’t sing or play any instruments, so I had to go to the next best thing.”
The actor also spoke about his early ambitions and said he wanted to be Evel Knievel or Muhammad Ali. “On ‘Wide World of Sports’, I saw this ski jumper who wiped out in horrible defeat. I had my sights on something like that. Yeah—it looked cool. That was it for me.”
In another interview for Interview Magazine, he reflected on the changes in the later stages of his life. “I’m realizing, as a real act of forgiveness for myself for all the choices that I’ve made that I’m not proud of, that I value those missteps because they led to some wisdom, which led to something else. You can’t have one without the other. I see it as something I’m just now getting my arms around at this time in my life. But I certainly don’t feel like I can take credit for any of it.”
