It seems the COVID-19 lockdown is doing some good for the ex-power couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie since multiple sources have revealed that the duo is apparently on good terms despite their messy divorce.

“Things between Brad and Angelina are better than they have been. They’re more cordial — they’re aiming toward resolutions that work for each of them,” an insider told Us Weekly. The ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ stars were together for 12 years and tied the knot in August 2014 before parting ways in 2016. Together they have six children – Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, Knox, 11, and Vivienne, 11.

A second source said that the A-listers have recently come to an agreement as the 56-year-old actor sees the younger children every few days. The insider mentioned that though Pitt is not in contact with his elder children, Maddox and Pax, he still gets updates about them from the ‘Maleficent’ actress. The source added that to make matters even better, Jolie is specifically “impressed with Brad’s continued sobriety”.

Us Weekly has previously reported in October 2019 that the ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actor’s relationship with his eldest sons are strained. The eldest one, who is a student at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, became estranged from his father after Pitt and Jolie separated in 2016.

The ‘Salt’ actress tried to mend the father-son relationship but in vain. "Maddox hasn’t been receptive. And for Brad, it’s a tremendous loss," a source said at the time. The reason for his rough relationship with his other son Pax was not known but with him, Pitt was optimistic that he will be able to reconcile.

The second source also shared that Pitt who claimed that he gave up alcohol in 2017 has not been able to attend his usual Alcoholics Anonymous meetings since the coronavirus lockdown, but “he’s in regular contact with his support network”.

This comes almost a month after a previous report stated that the former couple has reportedly agreed on their underage kids' education as they want them to now have "traditional schooling". The report also claimed that Pitt has submitted papers in the Los Angeles County Court informing the judge that he and his 44-year-old ex-wife have now made an agreement regarding "education and transitional support" for their children.

“He had been pushing for and the children's therapist also recommended. Brad wants the kids to be in a school setting, and not isolated being homeschooled," a source revealed in April.

According to reports, the kids of Pitt and Jolie were homeschooled earlier by their nannies and tutors as the family often moved around the world, between their multiple homes and movie sets. In an earlier interview in 2017, the ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ actress said: “It bothered me how little I was taught in school. I do worry about my children's education. I homeschool partially because they are from around the world and it's very...I didn't want them to have the same education I had when it came to Vietnam or Cambodia.”
