Teen pounces on 10-year-old schoolgirl on her way home before choking and raping her
The Bristol Crown Court heard Monday that a 10-year-old girl was raped and left for dead by a teenager who was on his way home from school.
The attack took place in Devon during autumn last year, the court heard. According to Anna Vigars QC, prosecuting, the 16-year-old pounced on the girl on his way back from school. "He took hold of her from behind - around her throat - wrapping his arm around her neck and squeezing hard," she said. The attacker then proceeded to drag her down a stream and rape her.
As the little girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was late coming back from school, her worried mother sent a text reading "where are you?" Then moments later, a passer-by knocked at the door and told her he had found her daughter lying in the stream all wet, muddy, barely conscious, and with her underwear pulled down, Daily Mail reports.
