'Botched': Woman approaches Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow for a solution to her oversized butt caused by faulty butt implants
Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow have seen many cases but their new patient, Courtney is sure that the two would need a drink after they examine her butt. Courtney arrived for the consultation with high energy but the same was not seen in Paul as he found himself being shocked and fearful of the consultation because Courtney's butt was large and discolored.
This raised red flags and made him think what was "really in there". Terry, on the other hand, was interested in finding out how Courtney ended up with such a large butt as he questioned, "How did you get to this place? What did you have injected into your buttock?"
Courtney revealed that the lady who did her implants had injected her with hydrogel. "Hydrogel is a synthetic polymer, called polyacrylamide," Terry tells while talking to the camera. "Which is a gel that, when injected into the body, attracts water and gets incorporated into the tissue."
He further added that this incorporation can be harmful as it can lead to "significant immunologic reaction" and other "serious disasters." However, Terry and Paul are left worried as they hear Courtney warn them about what was going on after she got the implants. "I don't have any pain yet, but my butt…If you press into it, you feel stuff," she said.
Both the doctors believe Courtney has granulomas and "post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation."
Terry later asked, "What are your goals?" Courtney revealed that she wanted to remove her butt implant and opt for a smaller butt. However, before coming to any conclusion Terry and Paul take her for examination. "Doc, you might need a drink before we go in there," Courtney joked. "I might need a drink!"
While Terry agreed to help Courtney out he wanted her to promise him to raise awareness concerning butt injections. Courtney has had six injections that resulted in her butt looking oversized. Courtney agreed and decided to do a podcast to raise awareness.
However, Courtney did not get the news that she had been waiting to hear. Terry warned her that the only way she could get a normal butt is if they amputated it. But Courtney did not want that to happen. Terry then told her the unfortunate news that nothing could be done for Courtney at the moment but asked her to have hope for the future.
