Portland BLM protester wants cops involved in shootings to be sent to electric chair to 'fry like burnt bacon'

'They need to hang you high. … they need to send you to the electric chair and let you fry like a piece of burnt bacon,' she added

PORTLAND, OREGON: A disturbing speech by a Black Lives Matter protester was captured on video where she told a cheering crowd in Portland, Oregon, that she wanted “filthy, disgusting animal” cops to “fry like bacon'' in the electric chair.

The speaker in question was identified as Letha Winston, whose son, Patrick Kimmons, was shot dead by cops in 2018 as he charged toward the officers moments after he shot a couple of men. Winston spoke for more than an hour in front of the Justice Center in downtown Portland on Sunday, August 16. A video of her speech was uploaded by Twitter user Drew Hernandez, with the caption, ''For the record, this was the extreme rhetoric that was being preached by BLM just hours before they began to take to the streets and violently harass, rob, physically assault people and nearly execute a man 'I will continue my mission for justice by any means necessary.'''

“This is a war, guys … We’re getting ready to get armored up around here,” declared Winston. “I will continue with my mission by any means necessary,” she added, repeating “by any means necessary” several times. During her speech, she said that the police will need more than ''gassing'' and ''flash bangs'' if they wanted to take the BLM protesters down. Addressing the gathered crowd as ''comrades'' she said, “I know you got a gun, but so do I … Go ahead and shoot me — I’m shooting back." Of the Black Lives Matter movement, she added, “We’re here to take our streets back.''

Another clip, posted by a The Oregon reporter, claimed that the officers who pull over black drivers in traffic stops were “liars” because she knew it wasn't for anything other than the color of their skin. She added that such an officer was a “filthy, disgusting animal” who should “go to hell.” She also had come choice words for the officers involved in police shootings. “They need to hang you high. … they need to send you to the electric chair and let you fry like a piece of burnt bacon," she said. 

She also wished that the four Minneapolis cops who were charged in the death of George Floyd on May 25, should have died at their birth. “Your mother’s umbilical cord should have wrapped around your neck and choked you just the way you choked George Floyd, you filthy animal,” she told the crowd, the clips show. “It should have wrapped around your neck so many times to where you yelled, ‘I cannot breathe!'” she said, referring to the fact that one of the officers, Derek Chauvin, knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly eight minutes till he passed out, which ultimately led to his death.

Floyd's death led to nationwide protests against police brutality and racial injustice, including  83 nights of protest in Portland. 

According to New York Post, Winston’s 27-year-old son had opened fire five times and injured two men, before getting fatally shot down as he ran toward two officers. The police later said that they used deadly force against him because he had his weapons drawn. A grand jury cleared both the cops of any wrongdoing.
