'Blindspot' Season 5 Episode 8 Preview: Madeline closes in on the team's location but can they escape?

The team scrambles to get ahead of Madeline and Ivy as they close in on the bunker's location, but someone on the inside is feeding Madeline information

The clock is ticking. The team needs to clear their names and put an end to Madeline Burke's (Mary Elizabeth) sinister plans for good before she exports poisonous chemicals to 10 capital cities that could wipe out people's identities forever. But this is Madeline we're talking about, and hell she's not going to make it so easy for them.

In the previous episode, Madeline had wiped out her son's memory because he had learned the truth about her and was going to help the team. She had even held Kurt Weller's  (Sullivan Stapleton) ex-wife in custody, and tried to use her as bait against him, hoping he would surrender. Even though Allie put on a show of crying, she gave him a small sign by pretending to wipe her tear.

This sign was picked up by another person — Keaton (Chad Donella) and it appears as if he's going to return and help the team.  They might have to work fast, because Madeline is close to discovering the location of the team, and we know what that means for the team. In the promos, the team scrambles as they're prepared to be ambushed and begin to wish each other goodbye. Has Madeline discovered them at last? 



 

The official synopsis for the episode reads, "The team scrambles to get ahead of Madeline and Ivy as they close in on the bunker's location, but someone on the inside is feeding Madeline information; as her plan takes shape, the team may be forced to take desperate measures."



 

Meanwhile, in a sneak-peek, Matthew Weitz (Aaron Abrams) is recovering a little from his jitters and slowly coming back on track to help the team. In the video, Weitz and Afreen are looking through several files, with all of them centered around some key players within the FBI and beyond. As it turns out, there are many people with skeletons in the closet. Aafreen and Weitz are going to find a way to save the team and hopefully save the day. 

'Blindspot' airs on NBC, Thursdays at 8 pm. Tune in for all the nail-biting action!
