The latest episode of 'Blindspot' was a nerve-wracking and worrying one. Madeline Burke (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) continues doggedly on her diabolic agenda of helping mercenaries expose ten capital cities to a fatal chemical and the team has to put all their personal dilemmas aside to try and take her down.

It's not easy, as Madeline is in cohorts with the most dangerous terrorist organizations in the world. In order to put an end to Madeline's plans, the team needs Tasha  Zapata (Audrey Esparza) to dig deep into her memory and remember a lead in the case behind the manufacturing and storage of chemicals. The team finally narrows down on a suspect that Tasha had interrogated with Edgar Reade (Rob Brown), ten years ago. Tasha, Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and Jane Doe (Jaime Alexander) spring into action to take the men down, who are storing the weaponized chemical.

Tasha puts aside her fears and attacks the men, and everything seems hunky-dory. The three split up to head back, except...Jane is attacked and is shot in the stomach. She sees an unconscious Weller being taken away. Zapata had already left before any of this happened. Now, what will happen to Jane, who is grievously injured?

In the promos for the next episode, we see Weller being tortured for information. He remains resolute and refuses to give up, but the torture grows worse by the second. It's up to Patterson (Ashley Johnson), Rich Dotcom, and Tasha to save their teammates before it is too late. Patterson is no amateur when it comes to taking criminals down, but this might be another ballgame altogether.

Fans are biting their nails and are rather worried about what's going to happen next in the NBC drama. Every episode of Season 5 is a tense one that ends on a cliffhanger and deaths of characters have been promised by the dozen. "This episode got into my feelings and destroyed me, but it was sooo perfect and this ending I AM JUST FREAKING OUT! Thank you," a fan wrote.

"THIS ENDING I AM NOT OKAY I AM NOT OKAY I AM NOT OKAY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA," another tweeted.

Fans can't wait for the next episode. Neither can we.

'Blindspot' airs on NBC, Thursdays at 9 pm.
