'Black Monday': A look at 5 baby boomer trends in the show that will completely freak the millennials out

With all the rave behind drugs and driven by the insanity of the world's biggest stock-market, the show raises a toast to the decade between the '70s and the '90s
PUBLISHED JAN 3, 2019

Showtime's 'Black Monday' has released its first episode, and let's just say, it is everything '80s. The baby boomers found their perfect match in the conman Mo played by an exquisite Don Cheadle, Dawn Darcy played by the amazing Regina Hall, and a really messed up Blair Pfaff, played by Andrew Rannells. The David Caspe-created show is based on how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street.

What the show lacks in story-telling, it makes up it in its appearance. From Hall's fluffed up big hair to Cheadle's obsession with cocaine, it is everything that defined the '80s, something which millennials will never know. So before you head on to tune in to the premiere episode of 'Black Monday', here are the top five '80s trends in the show that will freak us all out.
