Ryan Henry and Kitty Sovain had a thing going and it was unexpectedly interrupted by a bunch of situations, which could have been handled better if Ryan had given it more thought. He convinced Kitty to join Charmaine Walker's 2nd City Ink when they were having a friendly conversation in New Orleans.

Ever since Kitty arrived in Chicago, Ryan has given her undivided attention — be it meeting up at restaurants or packing his shop just to be at Kitty's home to make her a tattoo. He did it all to make her feel special but their cute story that had just started was halted when Rachel Leigh (Ryan's ex-girlfriend) arrived at the gender reveal event hosted by Charmaine and husband Neek Bey.

Ryan ignored Kitty at the party and continued doing so for the next couple of days until they met up at Charmaine's baby shower. They hugged it out and resolved their differences.

In this week's episode of 'Black Ink Crew: Chicago,' Ryan visits the therapist seeking advice on life and other things. He was told about how he is holding on to certain things, which he needs to let go of. Ryan then decides to move on in life and he finally meets Kitty. He tells her that they are in a relationship and apologetizes for whatever happened between the two of them.

This looked perfect until Rachel came into the picture to snatch back what was hers. Ryan, Rachel and their kid are at a gymnasium where the family engages in some acrobatics. As Ryan sits down to catch a breath, he shares with Rachel that he is ready to move on. But Rachel reminds him of what they share and that she is finally ready to have that equation with him that they have together wanted.

Cut to, scenes from a beach vacation where the couple seems to be having fun while restoring their relationship.

Why did Ryan and Rachel breakup?

Ryan and Rachel have been in an on-off relationship since high school and when he told her that he had cheated on her with an employee of his, Kat Jackson, she decided to break all ties with her. Although Ryan tried to keep his fling with Kat a secret, she told everyone at the old 9mag and Rachel. The couple suffered miserably but Rachel wasn't ready to forgive him.

Meanwhile, fans are calling Rachel selfish and playing with Ryan for wanting him back when he is finally ready to move on.

"Usually I applaud ANYBODY who has a happy, healthy couple no matter what. But this is weird. Why wait for him to get off the air mattress, get his own place, go to therapy & move on to Kitty to go 'I want you back'? #BlackInkChi (I thought Kitty and Ryan would be dope. Oh well," a fan shared.

Another wrote: "Sorry not sorry but f**k Rachel that's a selfish b***h. She didn't want that nigga until he got the balls to finally let her go and move on. She knows she can pretty much play with Ryan like a puppet and she's taking full advantage of it and like a dummy he takes it #BlackInkCHI."

"#BlackInkCHI Rachel don’t want Ryan she just don’t want anybody else to have him. Now here it is she ready for him, he’s supposed to make his world to appease her.... girl, gone. #GTFOHWTMFBSB," a user tweeted. "Whatever situation Rachel had going didn't work out & she saw Ryan having too much fun so she had to hurry up & get back #BlackInkCHI," a viewer expressed.
