Where is Bill Mitchell's account on Twitter? On August 14, several social media users opened the micro-blogging site to catch sight of a screenshot that said the 68-year-old pro-Trump pundit had been suspended from Twitter. Reportedly, the account was revoked as it was found to violate the social media company’s policy on using multiple accounts to evade account suspensions.

Mitchell, who has his own YouTube program 'YourVoice America', has been known for promoting several right-wing QAnon conspiracy theories over the years according to which Trump is secretly working to arrest a faction of liberal Hollywood actors, Democratic politicians, and high-ranking officials who are members of an international child sex trafficking ring. As per several reports, he started the fake theory that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump’s phones during the 2016 campaign. Moreover, with the outbreak of coronavirus, QAnon followers started spreading false "treatments" for the virus.

Back in 2016, he was named 26th on the list of Twitter's biggest election influencers after he rose to fame with his defensive statements for US President Donald Trump. Trump, himself, retweeted Mitchell at least twice that year and many more times in the subsequent years.

So why was his account suspended from Twitter? A spokesperson from the social media platform told Mediaite in a statement that his account had “been permanently suspended for violating the Twitter Rules by using one account to evade the suspension of another account.” No sooner did the word go around, the Internet was surprised and soon started slamming him.

Along with a screenshot of his account, one tweet read: "Pro-Trump pundit and right-wing conspiracy theorist Bill Mitchell has been suspended from Twitter."

Many wondered what really led to that. "Trump superfan Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) has been permanently suspended from Twitter. Not clear what earned him the ban," a tweet from The Daily Beast reporter Will Sommer read.

Soon after, an update from him read: "Update: According to a Twitter spokesperson, Trump mega-fan Bill Mitchell was suspended for ban evasion."

One tweet read: "I’m told Bill Mitchell first received a 7-day ban for tweets talking about ‘mask dangers,’ then was using a second account to tweet during the ban, and had his main account permanently suspended."

"Bill Mitchell was one of the very dumbest people on Twitter, with a brain capable of sending these messages to his fingers to type on his phone," one tweet read.

What's more, Mitchell asked his followers for $15,000 on a GoFundMe page in 2019 to move his YourVoice America program from Palm Beach, Florida, to Washington, DC to get direct access to lawmakers and other “movers and shakers” ahead of the 2020 election. Later, he relocated to Miami, and no one knew where the money that he raised — $14,000 of the $15,000 goal — went.

Attorney, author, and columnist Seth Abramson said, "This guy rarely hit my radar, but I guess it's a big deal when adults face adult-like consequences for years of pro-Trump disinformation," and added, "PS/ Yes, this is the guy who crowdsourced $15,000 to "move to D.C." and then took the money and moved to Miami instead—even though he'd gotten the money by telling his Twitter followers he needed to move to D.C. to provide them better access to newsmakers."

Mocking him, one tweet read: "Bill Mitchell was permanently banned from Twitter. He once argued that ActBlue must be doing something wrong because the average donation was $30.38, and he thought it was weird that anyone would donate $30.38 rather than a round number. Trump supporters are so smart."
