Will Biden-Harris disinfect the White House if they win? Internet growls as Mark Meadows tests Covid-19 positive
As election results are soon to come out, sitting president Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, has reportedly contracted Covid-19. It is not clear when Meadows got to know that he had been infected by the virus. As per reports, “he informed a close circle of advisers after Tuesday’s election” about the infection. Until now, neither Meadows nor White House representatives have responded to the news.
In the past, Meadows has reportedly remained engaged in Trump’s post-election effort to challenge votes in some states where Trump is behind Democratic challenger Joe Biden. As per Associated Press, he has traveled with POTUS in the run-up to Election Day without a mask as Trump falsely declared victory earlier. As per Bloomberg, Meadows was at Trump’s bedside when the president was hospitalized last month due to Covid-19.
Until now, more than three dozen people associated with the president and the White House have been infected with the deadly virus. This includes Melania Trump and son, Barron Trump, advisor Hope Hicks, consultant Kellyanne Conway and three White House reporters. Some aides and staffers at the White House are reported to have contracted the virus after they attended a Rose Garden event on September 26 where President Donald Trump announced his Supreme Court pick.
As per reports the United States has just set a devastating record on November 6 when it surpassed 125,000 daily Covid-19 infections. Friday, November 6 witnessed at least 125,596 new coronavirus cases which is the highest single-day spike since the pandemic began.
On the other front, Biden is nearing victory in the presidential race as compared to rival candidate Trump. Now as the news dropped of Meadows getting the virus, people took to social media to respond. Some said since many of Trump’s aides contracted the virus Biden and Democrat’s VP nominee Kamala Harris might have to disinfect the premises of the White House. A user wrote, “We might have another Covid-19 cluster at the White House.” Another chimed in, “They’re gonna need to disinfect that house before Biden and Kamala step inside.”

A user wrote about the virus, “I thought covid was gonna go away after election since it was all a ploy? Biden please disinfect the white house before you move in, that shit is full of germs. don’t be like mark meadows, wear your damn mask & don’t attend parties.” A user quipped with a meme, “Before Joe Biden moves into the White House.” Another user wrote mocking Meadows, “Mark Meadows said there was going to be 100 million doses of covid vaccine by end of October. Why didn’t he get one of those.”
Another wrote, "This "transition of power" is going to be very interesting. Perhaps the Trump team should just clear out the White House and leave notes? Then disinfect and wipe down everything before the Biden/Harris team enters the premises?" Another took the disinfection beyond the pandemic, "They need to drop a big fumigation tent over the Whitehouse. Those tents will disinfect it and get the stench of the virus, racism, hate, fast food, thievery, nastiness, lying, and everything else out of there. Then Biden and Harris can venture in."
