'BH90210' star Brian Austin Green sued over selling classic Porsche with fake engine
BH90210 star Brian Austin Green is being sued by a man who claims the classic Porsche he bought from the actor is not authentic. Green was sued by a man named Gonzalo da Silva Pinto, who purchased the 1955 Porsche Speedster for $330,000 on May 2017. The legal documents state that Pinto bought the car after being assured by Green that all the parts in the car were original. According to TMZ, Pinto saw an online ad for the car which got him interested in the purchase.
Even though the car was listed at a price of $385,000, Green closed the deal for $330,000. The deal was finalized after Pinto hired a pair of Porsche experts to inspect the vehicle in order to ensure that the car was authentic. After the experts marked the engine to be authentic, Pinto went forward with the purchase and shipped the vehicle to Germany.
However, events took a different turn after the car arrived in Germany. When Pinto went to apply for his own certificate of authenticity he found that the engine was not authentic. He claims that the stamp on the engine was forged.
Pinto is now asking for the sale to be canceled and a full refund of his $330k. At the same time, he is also seeking for covering other expenses that he incurred during the purchase. These include the cost of authentication and delivery.
Despite this, Pinto is not directly accusing Green of fraud. Green is being sued along with with his family trust for "negligent misrepresentation." In the documents, it is stated that Green, who loves collecting classic cars, "decided to sell the sportier vehicle to provide a better future for his children."
This news comes just days after it was announced that Green will be returning in the reboot of his original 1990s hit series Beverly Hills 90210. The actor is also set to star in the upcoming movie 'Cross 3' with Tom Sizemore, Danny Trejo, and Vinnie Jones.
