Plot
While the plot details for the film itself are scarce, the 'Beyond Good & Evil' video game has received widespread praise for its storytelling. The game is set in the year 2435 on the mining planet of Hillys which is under alien attack. The game follows the story of a young photojournalist, Jade, recruited to be a part of an underground resistance movement. Jade uncovers a planet-wide conspiracy that the military leaders who were meant to be defending the planet are in fact in cahoots with the alien invaders. A sequel to the 2003 game was officially announced in 2016, although in the years since that has been little word as to the game's development aside from a trailer. The movie will be a mix of animation and live action, much like 'Detective Pikachu.'
