Who are Betty Eadie and Jessie Sawyer? Women who 'came back from dead' REVEAL what afterlife is like
The truth behind what happens after a person dies is a mystery. But a few people who have experienced near-death situations claim that they saw a bright light, while others believe they heard voices or could see their own dying bodies.
Two women -- Jessie Sawyer and Betty J Eadie -- who "came back from the dead", have expressed what the afterlife was like for both of them after they had near-death experiences. For Eadie, her experience was so good that she wants to "go back".

As per the Lad Bible, 78-year-old Eadie had a near-death experience in 1973 while undergoing surgery. According to Betty, she felt "this sensation of my spirit coming out of body at tremendous speed" and could see her own body lying on a bed.
Believing herself to be dead, Eadie said she saw three "really ancient men" who told her she had died. Afterward, Betty's spirit flew out of the window to her house, where she saw her family and the lives they would lead.
'It's not yet your time'
Later, Eadie was back at the hospital from where she went into a tunnel and met Jesus Christ, who she says "hugged me". Apparently, he said to her, "It's not yet your time." After that, three angels appeared and took her to a beautiful garden. This is where she said she "met God" in the form of "the most beautiful man I've ever seen", who told her she would go back to her physical form.
Five years after the incident, Eadie revealed it to her doctor, who told her that she had been medically dead for some time. Eadie has narrated her afterlife journey in a book titled 'Embraced by the Light' and said that she wants to go back to the afterlife.
As for 31-year-old Sawyer, she said that her close encounter with death left her fearless. In May 2013, she had to undergo a hysterectomy. Narrating her experience, she recalled seeing the figure of one of her best friends, who had died two years earlier. Before falling back into her body, "which hurt". She claimed that she also saw a bright light.
After waking up, doctors explained to Jessie that they believed she had been dead for a short period of time. As per the doctors, she had been "walking the line between life and death for a while".
These anecdotes are just a few among so many. For instance, in 2015, public speaker Anita Moorjani revealed she slipped into a coma in February 2006 after being diagnosed with lymphoma. She described reuniting with her deceased father and feeling "incredible", after which she came back to her body and was miraculously cured.
