Bette Midler roasts Trump for calling 'powerhouse' Warren 'unlikeable': 'She's 100% more likable than you!'
Actress Bette Midler tore into Donald Trump for calling Senator Elizabeth Warren unlikeable. Midler, who has never really been fond of Trump went on to call him the "most hated, most repulsive human male on the planet today."
She tweeted, "#EllizabethWarren is a powerhouse, but Donald Trump, that stable genius, said she was unlikeable. Well, Don, in breaking news, she's 100% more likable than you! You are the most hated, most repulsive human male on the planet today, & God knows, there are plenty to choose from."
She further tweeted, "Today #Trump said that #ElizabethWarren was mean; this from a MF who put children in cages with aluminum blankets; that she had no talent. Meaning she was not a corrupt parasitic traitor who's managed to get away with some of the most appalling criminal behavior ever seen in US."
Warren suspended her campaign on Thursday and Trump had said that sexism had nothing to do with the exit. "No, I think lack of talent was her problem. She has a tremendous lack of talent," adding, “But people don’t like her. She’s a very mean person. … People don’t want that. They like a person like me, that’s not mean."
The president called Warren "a good debater" and that she had "destroyed" former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on the debate stage, however, she just did not make it on the likable scale
Before she dropped out, Trump had called her "selfish" for running. "So selfish for Elizabeth Warren to stay in the race. She has Zero chance of even coming close to winning but hurts Bernie badly. So much for their wonderful liberal friendship. Will he ever speak to her again? She cost him Massachusetts (and came in third), he shouldn’t!” wrote the president on Twitter on Wednesday morning.
Warren's race in the elections was a memorable one and many were rooting for her to win. She dropped out on Thursday last week after failing to win any of the 14 Super Tuesday states.
