Vermont Senator and 2020 presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders was caught on video, appearing visibly annoyed after a baby started shrieking during a recent campaign event and asked it to "keep that down a little bit."

The senator was reportedly addressing a group of potential voters in Epson, New Hampshire, on September 3, when a baby present in the room suddenly began crying. An eyewitness of the incident at the Circle 9 Ranch Campground Bingo Hall uploaded the video of the moment on social media.

The clip showed Sanders talking to an audience member about healthcare when a baby started wailing, and he turned in the direction of the noise and politely pointed his finger, saying: "If we could keep that down a little bit. OK, thanks."

The politician, a grandfather to seven children, then resumed his interaction with the voter, however, he appeared to have lost his train of thought for a few seconds because of the crying outburst.

The clip was reportedly first uploaded on Twitter by Zach Parkinson, research director for President Donald Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. Parkinson wrote: "Sanders not feeling the Bern for kids in the audience yesterday..." as he shared the video.

Sanders, however, appeared more polite than President Donald Trump when it came to handling the baby incident, as the latter, in one of his infamous moments, had said "you can get the baby out of here" with a thumb pointing out when he was met with the same circumstances at a campaign event in Virginia, August 2016.

The 77-year-old politician, Sanders, has often spoken about his grandchildren in his campaign speeches and social media posts, with the most recent being on September 3, when he tweeted: "I've got seven beautiful grandchildren. I will be damned if I leave them a world which is not habitable."

Sanders, according to a  Marquette University Law School poll released on September 4, is currently trailing the Democratic front-runner, former Vice President Joe Biden, with 20 percent of registered Democrats and independents in the Democratic race of the 2020 presidency.
