Ben Shapiro highlights four 'myths' about Israel and Palestine, Internet says 'stop lying'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Shapiro has spent the last few days shedding light on the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, on his social media platforms and his show.

In Shapiro’s latest installment of ‘The Ben Shapiro Show,’ the host talked about how everyone is “being lied to about Israel and Palestine.”

While Shapiro took 8 minutes to crack four “myths” for his viewers, he faced some backlash for the same on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ben Shapiro talks about ‘bunch of lies’ by the ‘media’

In his installment, 'You’re Being Lied To About Israel And Palestine,' Ben Shapiro said, "The things that we have been seeing on our screens from Hamas are atrocities, obviously.”

Shapiro continued, "But the media has said that these atrocities are missing context. The context that they are providing, well that context is a bunch of lies.”

He added, “There are 4 myths, generally propagated by the left, around the history of Israel and Palestinians. These myths matter because they lead people into peculiar moral relativism whereby attempted murder, or successful murder of Jews’ excused, and meanwhile, the evil human rights violations of the Palestinians are minimized.”

Shapiro then talks about these myths, the first “myth” is, “Israel is historically Muslim territory.” He claims, “This is a pure and absolute lie,” before explaining the history of it.

The second “myth,” Shapiro talked about is, “Israel is the cause of the failure of land partition in the Middle East,” he added, “This is again a pure lie,” before diving into the depths of it.

The third “myth,” “Israel expelled all Palestinian Arabs from British Mandate Palestine,” and he added, “This is again a lie.”

The fourth and final “myth” highlighted by Shapiro, “Israel is an apartheid state.” Shapiro added, “Israel is most certainly not an apartheid state. Arab citizens of Israel have the same rights as Jewish citizens.”

As Shapiro listed the “myths,” he said, “All of these myths have consequences. All of these lies have consequences. They lead to a pseudo-sophisticated context that allows for the murder of Jews.”

Shapiro’s 8-minute video garnered a lot of attention on social media platforms like YouTube and X, with millions of views on both, however, not everyone agreed with Shapiro.

Ben Shapiro faces backlash on X 

In response to Ben Shapiro’s in-depth video on Israel and Palestine, the host of ‘The Ben Shapiro Show’ faced some backlash as they listed certain “myths” and claimed that people are being “lied to.”

One user asked, “And the liar is you.” and another wrote, “Yes lied to by you, at the least impartially.”

“By you,” wrote one user, in response to Shapiro’s claim, and another said, “And you are one of them Mr Shapiro.” Paired with the latter was a gif that read, “and this I do not forgive.”

The internet continued to write “by you,” as they focussed on the premise of Shapiro’s video, “Yes. By you. We know this.”

“I just checked Ben’s full name on his identity card. It’s Ben The Liar Shapiro,” wrote one user.
