FEELIN' BLUE: Ben Affleck looks glum on coffee run after wife Jennifer Lopez 'snapped' at him at Grammys
SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck appeared downcast while out with a friend in Santa Monica - just hours after his 'disinterested meme face' at the Grammys made him an internet sensation! At the same event, his wife, singer-songwriter Jennifer Lopez, had seemingly snapped at him, which could also be the reason why the actor cut a somber figure a few hours later when he went for coffee. The actor did not smile once while talking to a friend, a dose of caffeine in his hand.
For his low-key coffee pick-up, the actor wore a casual blue plaid shirt and faded jeans as he walked the streets of Santa Monica shortly after video surfaced of him in a tense conversation with wife Lopez. He wore a gray undershirt with it and combined it with brown sunglasses and a pair of edgy black sneakers. In the clip, which has since circulated on the Internet, Affleck can be seen whispering something in Lopez's ear, whereupon she quickly moves away and snaps at him.

Even though it may seem as though there was trouble in paradise at the Grammys, they were very nice to each other on many occasions. Affleck, who is very reserved about his personal life, had commented about Lopez and how much he is in "awe" of her and her work. “All I can tell you is that I have seen firsthand the difference representation makes,” Affleck said, according to a report by Grazia. “Because I have seen over and over and over and over, women of colour approach Jennifer and tell her what her example as a strong woman and a woman succeeding and demanding her fair share in the business world means to them… I am in awe of what Jennifer’s effect on the world is.”
“Jennifer has inspired a massive group of people to feel they have a seat at the table in this country,” the 50-year-old, two-time Academy Award winner had said. “That is an effect few people throughout history have had, one I will never know and one I can only stand by and admire with respect.”

Lopez has gushed about her husband on several occasions. According to a report by Glamour, Lopez had stated that she was cautious about rekindling the relationship with her old flame (Affleck), as they were now in a different situation than before - they both had children to consider. “We had our kids and we had to tread lightly and carefully so they could come along with us…. Because they didn’t live those years before. And they’re like, ‘Wow, they’ve known each other forever.’ And that’s it.”
She then went on to add, “We did know each other forever, and we had to live these separate paths and we did other beautiful things and we had these amazing children. But when we came back together and the universe and God and, as it would have it.… Once we got whole enough and complete enough and loved ourselves enough and could stand on our own two feet really completely, as the universe would have it, we were brought into each other’s lives again. And it was a crack in the clouds and that song came through and it was like, ‘Boom, that’s it.’ And we were both very sure.”
