Ben Tennyson (Tara Strong) is finally making his way out into the cosmos, taking on not just one enemy, or even a planet full of them, but the entire universe. We've been given sparse details about the movie. Aside from Gwen and Grandpa Max will naturally featuring in it, who else may make an appearance? We take a look at the Top 5 characters we want to see in the film.

1. Albedo

Albedo has yet to appear in the new rebooted universe, and the fans have been crying out for his introduction. While Ben 10 has no shortage of dark mirror nemeses, Albedo is one of Ben 10's most enduring and alien adversaries, and one of the more alien. Given that the film's synopsis mentions that "our boy hero is confused for the villain in space," it seems likely that Albedo might in fact be that villain. The only familiar face Ben may face in the cosmos may be his own, staring back at him and not in the least bit happy to see him there.

2. Tetrax Shard

A trip to space is the best chance for the show to feature some of Ben's greatest alien allies, and Tetrax Shard is most definitely among them. The alien that Diamondhead is based on, Tetrax Shard is one of Ben's more recognizable transformations, and one of his most dependable allies. Ben's going to need all the help he can get, and he could do a lot worse than having Tetrax in his corner.

3. Asmuth

Speaking of alien allies, a feature-length film is always a great place to bring back the creator of the Omnitrix himself -- Asmuth. Asmuth's appearance on the film will raise its stakes higher than ever, and give the rebooted Ben 10 one of the biggest challenges of his life. A little modification work done to the Omnitrix in the face of a universal threat just might see Ben's aliens take on all-new, more powerful forms.

4. Vilgax

Vilgax is Ben 10's greatest, and most enduring enemy. While Albedo might be a dangerous villain in his own right, none quite have the classic gravitas that Vilgax has. If 'Ben 10 Versus the Universe' is meant to work as a standalone film, for those who haven't kept up with the classic series or the reboot, then Vilgax is a must-have villain for the film.

5. Kai Green

Ben's girlfriend from the classic continuity of the series is yet to make an appearance in the rebooted series, and there's no better time to introduce her than in the movie. While Ben might be too young for romance at age 10, she was still a fantastic ally and all-round great character who is sorely missed from the new series.

The movie, which is set between Seasons 4 and 5 of the new, rebooted 'Ben 10' Universe, has not yet set a release date, though production is underway. Cartoon Network will be providing a first look at the movie on July 23, 2020, at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm during Comic-Con@Home. You can find more details here.
