'Below Deck' crew members' life might seem glamorous from the outside. But, is it really the same from the inside? Stewardess Caitlin reveals what the life of the crew members on a multi-million dollar yacht actually is like. She shared a candid video clip, giving us an insight into the chores that they generally do on the deck.

Is only serving and attending to the primary guests the main job of the onboard crew members on Netflix's hit show 'Below Deck'? Not actually! Apart from attending and serving, the crew members are also held accountable for deep cleaning, doing laundry, wiping walls, and many other chores. Stewardess Caitlin reveals secrets behind appealing salary of 'Below Deck' 

Caitlin, who goes by the TikTok handle of @superyachtgirl, has been recently uploading a slew of videos on her account, giving us a sneak peek of how super yachties life looks like on the deck. DailyMail reports that the salary of yachties ranges between $2,100 to $3,250 per month, depending on the size of the boat. One gets an appealing amount of salary and along with it comes free expenses for medical care, toiletries, meals, snacks, holiday accrued leaves, and accommodations. Still, there is a lot of struggle apart from the luscious amenities that one gets while working on the yacht.

Emery, one of the stewardesses who goes by TikTok handle @thatyachtiegirl, revealed that folding toilet paper rolls is one of the main parts of her job. She shared one of the videos where she is showing how to fold toilet paper. She claimed it to be "super easy" with a little bit of practice.

On the other hand, Caitlin revealed that cleaning the guest cabin toilet is also one of the tasks that the crew members are assigned to do. She is seen cleaning the washroom in the most minute way in the video. Apart from these, there are "lots of checklists" that stewardesses are appointed for. These include, "deep cleaning coffee machine, descale kettle + dishwasher, hoover under a sofa cushion, deep clean condiment baskets, wipe all surfaces, detail AC vents, polish sinks, wipe walls, wipe ceilings, clean bins, and many others."

'We do much more ridiculous things'

In one of the TikTok videos, Caitlin shared her post-lunch routine. It involved starting with wiping the walls from the mess to the entrance. The stewardess then unveiled how she uses vinegar water to clean the ceiling of the walls. She explained clever cleaning techniques to her fans and says, "The stick helps to clean those hard-to-reach places, and yes, ceilings can be very dirty."

Then, she went on to claim that stewardesses are also assigned with doing laundry that includes crew members as well as guests' clothes. The laundry basket is "rarely empty". Indeed, the main task of the stewardess is to keep the yacht super clean.

In one of the videos shared by Angelica, a Super Yacht stew, she is seen ironing the curtains, changing sheets and pillow covers, setting tables for breakfast, welcoming guests with drinks and food, taking guests on hikes, cleaning, swimming with guests, clean their room, and many other relatable chores. She replied in the comment section to one of the fans' comments, "We do much more ridiculous things...sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or cry." 

Given the hectic schedule, the crew members do not even have time to eat a proper meal. Caitlin revealed that she starts her day with either coffee or a smoothie or some water. Then at 8 am, she filmed herself hovering over some leftovers from the guests' breakfast platter as she was busy with other chores. She then hopped onto a glass of juice and went ahead with sushi lunch at 12 pm. She had her dinner at 6 pm, including grilled lamb and mint yogurt. Later at 8 pm, she had a slice of her cake. Well, it seems that even they don't even get the time to have a proper meal while working. Well, the schedule is pretty packed with cleaning and when not cleaning, it's packed with attending guests.

So, if you're thinking the life of a stewardess is full of luxury, drama, and fun, then you're wrong because there also comes a lot of struggle along with it.
