'Below Deck' Season 3 Flashback: What happened when Eddie Lucas secretly hooked up with Rocky Dakota?
James Hough and Elizabeth Frankini's hookup on 'Below Deck' triggered major opinions, but the one that really stood out was Eddie Lucas', who came in with an open mind and gave the new couple a chance at being professional about their romance. The bosun, in his confessional, recalled a snippet from his past (which he didn't seem very proud of) and admitted that he is possibly not the best person to advise on the matter given what happened on Season 3 of the Bravo-backed show. He had a fling going on with third stewardess Rocky Dakota.

Initially, they denied having sex, but once the network aired the clip of them hooking up in the laundry, Eddie and Rocky came clean on their story. He admitted to having cheated on his girlfriend back home. "And I’m in a good place personally, in my private life and everything. So I’m ready to dive back into this and show viewers that the mistakes I made on season 3 are not what defines me," he told Cheatsheet ahead of his return on the show this season.

At first, Rocky confessed to having hooked up twice with Eddy after Season 3 ended, but he didn't agree to it in the reunion episodes. Later, both denied the events as they spoke with Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live'.
Why did Eddie leave 'Below Deck'?
Contrary to popular belief, Eddie left the show to settle down in Baltimore, be closer to family and not move from port to port. Unfortunately for him, people often connect his exit with the rollercoaster of an affair he had with Rocky, which he vehemently denied until the last day of the season where Captain Lee Rosbach reprimanded him for the "colossal f**k up". However, it's all water under the bridge now, the bosun told Bravo Insider. "She, luckily, didn’t have any bad blood against me anymore, and I don’t have anything bad to say about her. What happened between us was a mistake, but I wish her the very best," Eddie said of Rocky when they met at one of Bravo's celebration nights in January 2020.
