'One of the things you're not supposed to do is whistle on a boat. That's called whistling up the wind and you might get a storm,' Captain Glenn said

When the wind is right, sailing is one of the key activities charter guests look forward to. The Parsifal III on 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' is propelled partly by sails. Captain Glenn Shephard ensures that he is able to deliver that experience whether or not the guests ask for it.

Every time the boat sails, it heels, which means it tilts in the direction of the wind. In today's episode, the boat heeled, albeit way too much. At one point it felt the boat would go into the water because it was inches away from floating on one of its sides.

It was not normal and therefore, had everyone worried and tying the incident to superstitions.

Before the crew and guests left the dock, a bunch of crows sat on the mast of the boat and cawed for a good amount of time and that had everyone gossiping if it was a bad omen. In his green-room interview, Glenn revealed some of the sailing-related superstitions.

"As far as superstition goes, crows can get bad omen. You know there's a lot of superstitions when it comes to sailing. One of the things you're not supposed to do is whistle on a boat. That's called whistling up the wind and you might get a storm," Glenn said and added that bananas are considered bad luck too.

Oddly enough, Adam Glick is guilty of doing both of these things, albeit unintentionally. He was only arranging his produce for the next few days and keeping himself entertained with the whistling.

However, full points to the edit. As the boat heeled further, clips of Adam whistling about in the galley were shown to make a deliberation correlation between the two events.

Thankfully, Glenn was able to control the tilt and get back the boat to its normal position. But the damage had been. The deck was covered with oil that may have spilled during the extreme sailing. Paget Berry, Chris Miller and Byron Hissey got down to fixing the problem but it was a mean feat.
