'Below Deck Sailing Yacht': Jenna says her 'boatmance' with Adam is genuine, they're serious about each other

In a chat with MEA WorldWide, Jenna said both she and Adam have been in the industry long enough and they wouldn't have started a relationship unless they were serious about it

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' has been tough on Jenna MacGillivray but she is taking it in her stride. As the season draws to a close, the chief stewardess dishes on her relationship with the crew, mainly Madison Stalker and Adam Glick, who have immensely impacted her personal and professional life.

She's good at her job, does what she knows best and says it like it is. But that may not have been taken kindly, especially by Madison, who has often gone on to "complain" about all things Jenna.

Jenna told MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), "Madison, complains about everything, about my relationship, about me being mean, about me not telling her how to do her job, but also claims she’s like the chief stew."

Jenna thinks everything is an "issue" with Madison, whereas Georgia Grobler is more open and willing to taking instructions. At the start of the season, she had difficulty navigating her laundry task and when she took it to Jenna, she helped her out with a system that went on to make her work easy. Unlike popular opinion, Jenna is quite the supportive and understanding team leader.

But this wasn't the only relationship on the boat that got the attention. Jenna and Adam Glick's "boatmance" was much talked about too. Even though the crew is "supportive", Jenna agreed that if their equation were to go sour, it would pull the team down and that was the only aspect that bothered the crew.

"People that work on boats know that boatmances happen. We’re all in tight quarters, and what happened between Adam and I was genuine. We've both been in the industry long enough to not start something unless we were serious about it," Jenna said.

She also clarified her stance on the infamous "breastfeeding" joke that brought her a lot of hate on the internet. She said that in jest and now she understands that maybe Parker McCown shouldn't have been joked with. "I have a sense of humor," she said and added that yachties joke around a lot but it's never meant to hurt anyone's feelings. "The boys would call me an Armadillo, horse face and we all laughed," Jenna continued.

Adam and Jenna may have been serious about each other but that doesn't mean theirs is a perfect relationship. The couple has been in some bitter arguments, some of which have left both surprised. One such incident was when Jenna and Georgia were joking about them dating the same man in the past but Adam didn't have the appetite for the joke.

"It wasn’t pleasant, I was confused. He and I have discussed it at length. All humans have things that are triggers and that was something that triggered him," Jenna explained. In one of the recently-aired episode, they get into yet another tiff. Let's hope they are able to get out of this stronger and wiser.
