'Below Deck Sailing Yacht': Chief stew Jenna says guests are on 'air diet', baffled fans wonder if it's real
The charter guests in this week's episode of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' aren't too bad. They are just too picky about food. However, they had made the crew aware of their dietary preferences.
The group seemed perfectly alright as they removed their footwear and walked on to the yacht, but some of the crew members were taken aback by their toasting style.
After they were offered glasses of champagne, they clinked them as they said "meow". Fans too had a hard time making their peace with it, with some even wanting to switch off their television sets every time they meowed.
But that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Chef Adam Glick, who had been busy preparing lunch for the guests, was visibly upset that they didn't want onions in their greek salad. He had made lentil soup and gyro steak for them and watermelon granita as dessert.
Chief stew Jenna MacGillivray, too, was shocked to the core to know that they don't really eat as much as they enjoy looking at the food. "We don't eat a lot but we like looking at it. It's like, we smell it and like go that's delicious," said Yana, one of the guests. Jenna revealed that they were on an air diet.
So, what's an air diet? Apparently, it's a trend and it means eating nothing except for a concoction of salt and water. In an ideal world, it wouldn't be advisable but in case one wants to take up such a diet, a consultation with a doctor is recommended.
However, all said and done, they did seem to enjoy the food quite a bit and polished off the granitas quickly. Meanwhile, a handful of fans were baffled to learn that someone would even resort to something as extra as an air diet but there were some who wished they could be the diet too.
"How does this chick even have the energy to turn the anchor if she doesn’t eat? The air diet is not a real thing. #belowdecksailing," a fan shared, while another wrote: "And it’s not attractive and totally explains her personality... she is always pissy cause she doesn’t eat."
"Wish I was capable of doing an air diet. Instead I eat everything in sight #BelowDeckSailing," another viewer said.
