'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 5 Episode 7 Preview: Will Pete Hunziker's behavior get him fired once again?
Peter Hunziker is in trouble and this time, it may cost him his job at The Wellington. The 'Below Deck Mediterranean' star will face the consequences of behaving inappropriately with a colleague. Tonight, Pete gets called out by Captain Sandy Yawn after Christine "Bugsy" Drake expresses her discomfort with regard to Pete's demeanor. In the preview clip, Sandy informs Pete that she is seriously considering letting him go. And if that turns out to be true, then he'd be fired twice. Bravo has severed ties with Pete over racist remarks and had announced that his scenes from the show will be edited out but starting from the latter half of the season.
Does Pete deserve this humiliation?
Given the current scenario of the world, one must really choose his/ her words carefully. It is only in their best interest if one steers clear of making offensive remarks about people's caste, creed, color, religion, and beyond, which Pete should have kept in mind before going all out on social media.
Pete's attitude on the show is questionable too. He listens to his boss, Malia White, intently while she lists out instructions but does what he wants to do. This hasn't escaped Malia who warned Pete a couple of times just so that he can straighten up and focus on the job at hand. That's not all, he was once pulled up for addressing Malia as "sweetheart". He was specifically asked not to use such words for people he is working under and to show some respect for his peers.
Meanwhile, fans are loving the idea of Pete getting fired from the show. "Why did Bravo lie to us about editing Pete out of future episodes if they weren’t going to do it? Why didn’t they just say he was fired and leave it at that? Now all they’ve done is disappoint every viewer. #BelowDeckMed," a fan commented, while another shared: "I thought Pete wasn’t going to be shown often since he was fired for being a bigot? #belowdeckmed."
