'Below Deck': Tom clashes with Sandy over cucumber, fans say she would've micromanaged had it been Kiko

'I hope Captain Sandy is happy with her decision to get rid of hard-working Kiko,' a fan commented

In this week's episode of 'Below Deck Mediterranean,' Tom Checketts clashes with Captain Sandy Yawn and Aesha Scott. While his beef with Aesha was over once he apologized for his untoward behavior but the friction with Sandy continued longer than it was needed. 

Tom felt singled out when Sandy called him out during the tip meeting about him taking a break and not announcing it to the rest of the crew so that no one would disturb him. He mentioned the episode to girlfriend Malia White, who then assured him that that is how Sandy functions. 

Even though Tom was able to calm himself down at that moment, he couldn't keep himself together when the provisions arrived. He pointed out that the fish was delivered at room temperature, which meant he couldn't use them to prepare lunch. In addition to this, the guests were arriving an hour earlier, and that was when he lost it completely and began throwing stuff around the galley. 

Sandy, however, didn't confront him or ordered him to relax and do his job. She pulled Malia out of the galley and asked her to stop saving him, and added that if Tom had a problem he should go to Sandy, not to Malia. 

Meanwhile, fans have expressed how Sandy's approach would have been totally different had it been Hindrigo 'Kiko' Lorran, who was fired after he served an all-fried Vegas-themed menu, which the guests thought was straight out of a kid's birthday party. 

"Tom whining about being made to do his job is all we need to see in regards to how he and Malia are perfect for each other. But woah if that were Kiko Capt. Sandy would have made him swim back or shore," a user tweeted, while another posted: "I hope Captain Sandy is happy with her decision to get rid of hard working Kiko who never complained and had a heart of gold and replacing him with Terrible Tom who is lazy and prick."

"If kiko lost his temper over a cucumber sandy would have booked the first flight out," a viewer expressed. "Sandy is full of shit. if that were Kiko she would've had an in depth conversation with him and micromanaged his breathing," another tweeted.
