'Below Deck': Johnny's wife Michelle feuds with Shanna over Spanx, lifts her dress and exposes her thongs
'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 5 is already in troubled waters with a stripped-down crew. What it doesn't need is another meltdown from the charter guests. For the penultimate charter of the season, former professional baseball player Johnny Damon is returning with his wife Michelle Mangan and a few of their friends.
Just when new stewardess Aesha Scott and Christine 'Bugsy' Drake were winding up after dinner, Michelle and friend Shanna got into a tiff over Spanx. When Michelle left the lounge to take a closer look at the cigars, Shanna commented: "Michelle is wearing Spanx." That hit a wrong nerve and things went spiraling out of control. Spanx is also a clothing line that manufactures shaping briefs.
To prove a point, Michelle lifted her dress and showed off her thongs, leaving very little to the imagination. Shanna, however, tried to have a conversation about it so that they are able to fix what's stopping them from being cordial, but Michelle pushed her away saying she was annoying. She told Johnny that Shanna was throwing a "hissy fit."
Meanwhile, Aesha and Bugsy cannot wait for the catfight to be over. They discuss how the claws come out once they are drunk. It was clearly awkward for them to unwittingly be a part of a discussion that has nothing to do with them. This is the last thing the crew needs to deal with given the circumstances on the boat. The past few weeks have been stressful. After Hindrigo 'Kiko' Lorren's exit, Hannah Ferrier too was asked to leave for carrying drugs without prescription. Although it was for anxiety attacks, Captain Sandy Yawn couldn't risk it, because maritime laws are different and could result in Sandy losing her license as well.
However, the team was able to get themselves back together once Malia White's boyfriend Tom Checketts agreed to replace Kiko and Aesha returned to fill in for Hannah. Since the season is almost over the crew has nothing much to worry about except how they can finish it on a high note but going forward they need to take this as a learning lesson and ensure that the workplace compatibility factor is on point.
