'Below Deck Mediterranean': Tom has a meltdown and explodes at Aesha, upset fans call him a 'piece of sh*t'

This isn't the first time that Tom has had a meltdown in the galley. Previously, during one such episode, he called his joining the crew a 'big mistake'

Tom Checketts joined the crew as the head chef a few days after Hindrigo "Kiko" Lorran was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn. Despite being burdened by the thoughts of an ailing family member, he was more than happy to be part of the season last minute because it would mean a jump in his career and also he would be in close contact with girlfriend Malia White, who is a bosun on the same yacht, The Wellington.

But he didn't expect it to be such a stressful job. Tom enjoys working at the galley but it seems the dinner-time stress is too much for him to handle. He has had a lot of help from the crew plating the dishes, which Kiko didn't have access to. 

In this week's episode of 'Below Deck Mediterranean', we see Tom being verbally abusive towards Aesha Scott, the new second stewardess. She's new and still trying to mesh with the team but this rude behavior may push her to take a few steps back. Tom used cuss words and fans are not okay with it. They have declared him "trash" on social media.

Although the reason for Tom's outburst is not known yet, his meltdown isn't something the viewers are unfamiliar with. Previously, he had a rough time in the galley dealing with a broken spatula and shucking oysters. He even said out aloud that joining the yacht was a "big mistake". Meanwhile, fans are not one bit pleased about Tom using inappropriate words Aesha.

"Tom is definitely not 'chill' in the galley, as Malia so confidently asserted. Who the hell tells Aesha to F**k off? He doesn’t appear to handle pressure well. #Belowdeckmed," a viewer commented, while another shared: "Me on my way to beat the crap out of Tom for being mean to Aesha in the previews #belowdeckmed."

"Tom is a piece of sh*t, holy crap. Calling @Jessicamore180 a mother f**ker and then cursing at Aesha?! I guess you have to be a garbage person to be with Malia. #garbagepeople #BelowDeckMed #bravotv #BelowDeck," a user tweeted. "Wow...Tom telling Aesha, the sweetest Below Deck crew member ever, to f**k off? Seems about right. He supposed to be better for the job than Kiko?! #BelowDeckMed #BelowDeckMediterranean," another pointed out.
