'Below Deck Med' star Nathan Gallagher offers support to Joe Bradley as Sandy Yawn puts her foot down
ATHENS, GREECE: During Episode 8 of 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 9, Nathan Gallagher expressed sympathy for Joe Bradley when Captain Sandy Yawn removed Joe from his duties on the bow. Sandy decided to replace Joe with Nathan, a move that has left Joe feeling slighted and his ego bruised.
The episode highlighted Sandy's expert skills in maneuvering the boat while Nathan took over on the bow. As Nathan watched Joe step aside, he couldn’t help but feel sympathy for him. Nathan and Gael Cameron were engaged in a conversation about the recent news of Joe’s demotion from his bow duties on the boat.
"I feel sh***y for Joe. I would have been happy to be on the bow with him and I just helped him a wee-bit like but he takes the role to be on the bow and then we work together as a team, "he told Gael.
Nathan added, "That way he learns on the job but I feel sh***y for him now, he's just like, thrown off the bow now. I know it's hurt his feelings, like it really hurt his ego." Soon after, Gael shared her stance on Nathan's friendship with Joe by saying, “You’ve got a little cute bond going.” Nathan replied, “We definitely don’t.”

Throughout the episode, Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron maintained their playful banter, showcasing their dynamic. They humorously debated what label to assign to their relationship, with Nathan teasing Gael by referring to her as "only a colleague."
Gael playfully responded by saying, "Ouch. I'm gonna pretend that didn't hurt." However, as the episode progressed, Nathan's true emotions for Gael began to surface, leading him to finally open up and express his feelings for Gael in a heartfelt confessional.
“I feel like Gael’s just in her own head again. I don’t blame her," he shared. Nathan went on to say, "I find her attractive and I enjoy her company. [But] I want to give her a wee bit of space. I don't want to come on too hard. I want to be respectful."

Nathan Gallagher hinted at the future of his and Gael's relationship during an interview with The Daily Dish on July 11. He said, "You’re just gonna have to see what happens between me and Gael. But you can’t deny the connection we had."
"It was insane, and it was straight away. Like what you see from the show, me and Gael’s connection was like that from the moment we met each other. And it just continues to grow the entire season. It was actually really nice," he further added.
