'Below Deck' Preview: Kate upsets Captain Lee by disrespecting him, Ashton calls her out
Captain Lee Rosbach and his chief stew, Kate Chastain, have always firmly stood by each other, and supported each other. So when we saw the sneak peek clip of the upcoming episode, we were left surprised when we see the bosun, Ashton Pienaar, call out Kate for disrespecting Captain Lee, while Kate cried her eyes out.
We sadly do not know the chain of events that led to Captain Lee looking disappointed with Kate while Ashton called her out. We only get to see Ashton reminding the chief stew that the mess is shared by all the crew members including the Captain. So we are guessing that it has something to do with Kate and the kitchen/service team.
We didn’t think there would be a bigger disrespect to the Captain than when the chef Kevin Dobson forgot to serve the Captain his main course during a charter dinner and the captain was just left staring at an empty platter. We certainly can’t wait to watch what Ashton is giving Kate so much grief about. We also wonder if this confrontation is what led to the infamous walkout by the chief stew from the yacht.
It’s not just Captain Lee who might be feeling slighted, Simone Mashile too doesn’t look very happy when she learns what Tanner has been telling the whole crew about their hookup. We see her referring to Tanner as “gross” and explaining to the cameras that he isn’t her boyfriend, although she sleeps in his bed every night!
Amidst all this intense drama, the crew members also manage to sneak in some fun when they are told that they’d be washing elephants instead of the deck. We see them all enjoying while splashing water at adorable elephant calves.
