'Below Deck': Ashton Pienaar apologizes to Rhylee Gerber but fans think it was not genuine enough
Ashton Pienaar and Rhylee Gerber have been having their differences ever since the charter started. But it looks like Ashton decided to end the beef now that the charter is coming to an end. On today's episode of 'Below Deck', Ashton decided that he should talk to Rhylee and try to mend the relationship that they have.
He invited Rhylee to come and join him and she quickly agreed. The two sat down to talk and Ashton confessed that he did not want to end the charter on a bad note with anyone. He added that things did not go as expected in the past but this wasn't the way he wanted to end things.
Rhylee agreed and she was ready to leave the past behind. She expressed the same feelings and stated that she did not want to leave the charter feeling like this. She was happy to put things behind. However, fans were not impressed with Ashton.
Many thought that his apology was not genuine enough after all the trouble he put Rhylee through. "Oh fuck off Ashton. You absolutely did not try to make Rhylee feel included. You bad-mouthed her before she ever got on the boat," read one comment.
Another wrote, "And Ashton just said it. He tried to treat @rhylee_gerber a certain way instead of just like everyone else. Know it DBag."
Some thought that Ashton was not too good with his apology. "Omg Ashton stirs up so much shit up. He really wants to blame all on Rhylee. Also, you might want to stop the tanning. You look like a leather pillow," a fan wrote.
While another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "Ashton to Rhylee: "I just want to end it on a good note, so if you could not get mad when we sexually assault and harass you gals, that would be great."
