Bella Hadid insists that she has never had surgery or fillers as she is scared to damage her face
Bella Hadid has slammed claims that she has used fillers and had surgery. She has urged her haters to "scan" her face for themselves. Rumors have been there that she had a nose job and other physical enhancements since she started her modeling career in 2013.
As reported by Instyle, Bella shared, "People think I got all this surgery or did this or that. And you know what? We can do a scan of my face, darling. I’m scared of putting fillers into my lips. I wouldn’t want to mess up my face. People think I’m very confident, but I really had to learn how to be."
Bella admits that she struggled and felt awkward about her "big hips" and "weird face". At the age of 21, she has learned how to embrace her unique and distinctive features.
"I had a small waist and big hips and was kind of chubby. I love them now, but I was always self-conscious of my hips—whereas my sister had a six-pack and was very athletic. And I thought I had such a weird face. I remember very distinctly getting bullied because of my features," she continued.
Being under constant public scrutiny is not easy and Bella has had her fair share of haters and negativity. "It’s taken me a long time to learn not to listen. I turn my phone off and remember that the people around me are the only ones whose opinions I really care about. Why would I read those comments? They are usually coming more for my character than for my face, which is more hurtful," she revealed.
Not too long ago, a fan account shared a picture of Bella Hadid and her fellow model and friend Kendall Jenner dressed in ensembles without a bra. One of Bella's haters took to Instagram to post a nasty comment about the pair and wrote, "2 fake b*tches sitting in a tree, first comes the nose job, then come the lips, oh and don't forget the built-in cheeks."
Bella could not help but retaliate and replied, "I wish you would know either of our personalities. And not only that, I wish you would only grasp a heart of your own. Blessings to you sweetheart. Jealously is a cry for help that I wish I could help you with."
Hadid also admitted in her interview with Instyle that she had suffered from severe depression in 2017. "We all have our stuff to overcome, and that’s what I want to preach to the kids these days. I went through a serious depression last year, and I think it stemmed from when I was younger and [being bullied by] the kids in school," she shared.
"I’ve learned that people are going to hate you and there’s nothing you can do about it except be yourself and love yourself. But I feel people’s energy very intensely. Often I think, 'I just want to meet you and tell you I’m not a bad person. You don’t have to be mean to me'," she added.
