Amazon Prime Video is coming out with a brand-new movie and by the looks of it, it's a stunner! 'Being the Ricardos' is the streaming platforms' upcoming offering that will take audiences through a rough patch in the life of the stars of the American sitcom 'Love Lucy'.

The Prime Video movie is based on true events and is a biological drama brought by Academy Award-winning writer and director Aaron Sorkin. 'Being the Ricardo' will explore the lives of actors Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz as they go through an unstable time in their personal and professional lives. Scandals, rumors of an affair, and cracks in a relationship will be showcased in the Amazon Prime watch. Nicole Kidman as Lucille Ball

Nicole Kidman is an internationally known American actress. Although from Australia she was born in Hawaii when her parents were staying in the US temporarily. The brilliant actress made her acting debut at 16 in a remake of the Australian holiday season favorite 'Bush Christmas' in 1983 and by the end of the year she bagged a supporting role in the tv series ' Five Mile Creek'. She broke through internationally after she starred in the thriller film 'Dead Calm' opposite Sam Neill. Since then the actress has had a flourishing career and become one of the most well-known actors in the world. Her popular works include ' Moulin Rouge!', ' The Killing of a Sacred Deer', 'Aquaman', 'Big Little Lies' and more.

In her career, she has earned numerous accolades which include an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and five Golden Globe Awards. The Academy Award-winning actress is set to star as Lucille Ball, the female lead in 'Being the Ricardos'.



 

Javier Bardem as Desi Arnaz

Javier Bardem is an acclaimed Spanish actor who was first noticed at the age of 21 for a small role in 'The Ages of Lulu' in which he starred alongside his mother, Pilar Bardem, who is also an actress. His first lead role came in 'Jamón Jamón' and the actor went on to slowly alleviate himself in the industry. The 2000s were a crucial pointing his career as he gained international recognition in Julian Schnabel's 'Before Night Falls' which even won him praise for Al Pacino who is his idol. The actor has since risen up the ranks with some of his popular works including ' Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales', 'The Sea Inside', 'No Country for Old Men', 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' and more.

He also is an Academy Award winner and marked the first Spanish actor to win the accolade. He was most recently seen in 'Dune' and will play the male lead of Desi Arnaz opposite Nicole Kidman in 'Being the Ricardos'.

The rest of the cast consists of J.K Simmons as William Frawley, Nina Arianda as Vivian Vance, Tony Hale as Jess Oppenheimer, Jake Lacy as Bob Carroll Jr, Clark Gregg as Howard Wenke, Nelson Franklin as Joe Strickland, Christopher Denham as Donald Glass.

'Being the Ricardos' is set to premiere on December 21, 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.
