LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hulu's 'Becoming Karl Lagerfeld' explores the rise of legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Set against the backdrop of the glamorous and colorful 1970s, the show depicts Karl Lagerfeld's (Daniel Brühl) ascent to prominence as he navigates personal and professional challenges.

After working in Chloé for a long time, Karl was keen to pivot into haute couture or the creation of exclusive custom-fitted high-end fashion designs. However, Gaby Aghion (Agnès Jaoui) seems uninterested in the notion, leaving Karl contemplating his next step.

On the other hand, his relationship with Jacques de Bascher (Théodore Pellerin) has also deteriorated due to Jacques' erratic attitude and drug misuse.

In order to heal their relationship, Karl proposes that they travel to Monaco, but due to his hectic schedule, he keeps postponing the plan, making Jacques anxious.

Karl, keen to transition into haute couture, recognized that Pierre Bergé (Alex Lutz) may be an obstacle.

Well aware of Pierre's continual fight to control new fashion designers, Karl offers to speak with them in exchange for Pierre allowing Chloé to pivot into haute couture.

However, Pierre instead proposes that he vote against the young fashion designers in the next meeting, which will lead to Pierre gaining complete control over the designer and allowing Chloé to pivot into haute couture.

Karl then pays an immediate visit to Jacques, who is enjoying a surprise party hosted by his pals in honor of his relocation to Monaco.

However, when Karl suggests that Jacques move to Monaco first, as he has found an apartment for them and will visit when he can, things change dramatically.

Given that his idea is not well received by Jacques, he presents a second proposal to adopt him and form an official relationship.

Upset by his lover's statements, Jacques, who was already intoxicated, shouts at him and demands that he leave.

The next day, Karl once again tries to negotiate a haute couture transition with Gaby, who is still adamant about not following the suit and reminds Karl that she took him under her wing when no one else was ready to, and he has had ten years of bad experience with haute couture, and all he wants to do now is prove his bullies wrong.

Deeply upset by Karl's actions, Jacques is seen shedding tears. In his moment of vulnerability, Diane de Beauvau-Craon(Clara Bretheau) reaches out to comfort him. Touched by her empathy and words of reassurance, Jacques is prompted to engage in a kiss with her.

Later, Karl is shown at a gathering where young designers led by Thierry Mugler claim that the previous meeting gave the impression that the old and new designers live in different worlds. Both groups proceeded to exchange furious statements.

In the midst of the chaos, Karl began to draw Jacques, and his trance only broke when Pierre asked him to vote and to everyone's astonishment, Karl sided with new designers, leaving Pierre stunned.

Later, Karl explains to Pierre that he knew he would never follow his promise and would never allow him to enter haute couture, so he did what he thought was right.

The following scene shows Karl and Jacques enjoying their vacation in Monaco, with Karl remarking that their relationship will take time to mend, but he is willing to do so and kisses Jacques' hand. In a cute moment, both reintroduce themselves, which is exactly what Jacques wanted.

In the final moments of the show, Karl learns that he has received a fax with a fresh job offer and it is from none other than Chanel.

Karl stares at Jacques, fully aware that if he accepts this position, his relationship with Jacques will deteriorate further, but he says nothing, and the show ends.
