Is Barron Trump a 'computer whizkid' who loves K-pop and anime? Rumors and facts about POTUS' youngest son
Barron Trump is in the news again after Donald Trump Jr decided to use his name as a political gimmick to attack his father's rival, presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2020 election, Joe Biden, on Twitter. In response to a 'Daily Caller' article that asks "Is Joe Biden Capable Of Debating Donald Trump?" Donald Trump Jr posted a tweet saying, "In all fairness, Joe Biden is not capable of debating Barron Trump let alone Donald Trump." Needless to say, the POTUS' son was criticized for using his teenage half-brother to further the Trump campaign. The fact that he chose to use Barron's name was also controversial because every time the liberals decided to go after the president by making Barron a target, both the White House as well as the first lady stepped forward to condemn that entity.
Since Melania Trump has been so protective of her son from the time her husband took charge of the Oval Office, the public knew very little about Barron, compared to other children who have grown up in the White House in the past. He has almost never been pictured alone. And even with his mother or father, there are a very few pictures of him pubic available. Also, most of the information available on Trump's youngest son is a mix of facts and rumors.
For example, the internet went into a frenzy after the president said that Barron a computer whizkid during his 2016 election campaign. People frantically began searching for any social media profile that Barron might have but failed to find any verified ones. Speaking at a 2018 event for promoting her Be Best initiative, Melania confirmed that Barron doesn’t have social media accounts.
However, that piece of information only caused the internet sleuths to look harder. They came to the unconfirmed conclusion that Barron has a secret video gaming profile on Roblox. According to the profile, the user liked K-pop and anime. Although the account was never proven to genuinely belong to Barron, it has secured him a new fan base and also started the mock #SaveBarron campaign. What we do know, thanks to his mother's confirmation, is the fact that Barron is “all into sports." He was seen in an Arsenal Football Club shirt and has since played for the DC United under-12 and Arlington Soccer Association’s under-14 teams. In 2017, he was pictured by a reporter kicking the ball around on the White House lawn.
In April, the president said that Barron was “in his room” and happy, “but not as happy as he could be” after his school shut down, proving that his son was a school-loving kid. It was also due to his school that Barron and Melania didn’t immediately move into the White House after the January 2017 inauguration, it was reported back then. He completed the academic year at the Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City and continued to live at Trump Tower in Manhattan until June 2017.
However, in a new biography on Melania called 'The Art of Her Deal' the author and Washington Post journalist Mary Trump wrote that reason given behind Barron's absence was not accurate as his mother was using the time to renegotiate her prenup with Trump. "Melania had finally renegotiated the prenup to her liking," a source told Jordan. "She wanted proof in writing that when it came to financial opportunities and inheritance, Barron would be treated as more of an equal to Trump’s oldest three children."
