BAFTAs 2020 Red Carpet: Kate Middleton looks gorgeous as she turns heads in stunning Alexander McQueen gown
The Duchess is here to steal the show! Kate Middleton arrived at the BAFTAs wearing a white and gold gown by Alexander McQueen. Walking alongside some of the big names from the industry, Kate came in along with Prince William who looked no less of a celebrity himself.
Kate decided to stick to minimalistic makeup as she completed her attire with a pair of earrings and a necklace. This year marks the fourth time when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have attended this award show. Previously, Kate was seen wearing the same gown in 2012 during her trip to Malaysia, as reported by Daily Mail. Fans were quick to fall in love with Prince William and Kate's look. Many took to social media to express their thoughts.
"I'm 100% Armenian and always very proud of that. Yet I love this Royal Family so much I can't wait to actually see them as the King and Queen," wrote one user. Another added, "They are such a beautiful couple and The Duchess looks stunning, the dress is amazing."
Others could also not stop hailing the couple as the future king and queen as another wrote, "Our future King and Queen look absolutely stunning at the #EEBAFTAs." Ahead of the show, there were rumors that Prince William would be delivering a speech that would be directed towards the lack of racial diversity in the award show.
“He supports Bafta but is concerned and disappointed," a source close to Prince William told Express. “He recognizes there is so much talent in the industry, so for all the nominations to be white again isn’t good enough. It’s not about one year in isolation. It’s about the fact we’re having this conversation every year."
The source further added, "Something is systematically wrong here. Execs are braced for his speech. Amanda is panicked. There are shockwaves.”
